so jimin in suchwita said during the Covid period he was just lost like in a way he was drinking, partying with friends and having hard time with "human relations" and this depicts that!!! that mud could mean he was "tainted" with all of that and still not wanting to wake up from his dream back to reality?!

The Face album was conceived during the COVID lockdown, so Jimin wrote about feelings he had then hoping people listening to these songs will relate. Of course all the songs can be interpreted separately and without the background knowledge - that's where art comes in. You can think of e.g. Set Me Free Pt.2 literally as let me out of the lockdown or feeling not being himself, not being able to express himself etc. etc. etc. That's what is amazing about music. To me this song sounds great, but it lacks a peak. Could be intentional - the muddled, confused feeling of being in a dream or reality, the synth pop genre it's most probably in is an excellent choice to express that. But I still think that I don't feel the height where it could have gone. Jimin can do better. And he did. As regards the mud, it's not a big symbolic thing, in my opinion, it just enhances the feeling of being stuck, being in a messy state.

I’m the total opposite as I see the mud as very symbolic, but could be way off the mark lol. His album was called face which I believe could have meant facing himself to work out his feelings I interpreted this video as, at the start everything looks normal on surface level. But then you see the mud which I feel represents his emotional turmoil throughout the video. So a hand covered in this ‘mud’ pulls him into his ‘escape’ which is alcohol. Initially he looks like he’s having fun, but then it cuts to the corridor where there is mud pouring over the doors. Which shows his ‘escape’ is creating more emotional turmoil so he isn’t actually escaping. When he sees the girl in the leather jacket she represents his reflection as it immediately cuts to him looking in the mirror where he is ‘facing’ himself. Jimin is in a club where everybody is having an amazing time. But he is standing alone with all of that going on around him so he isn’t actually happy and it’s some kind of dreamscape. He sings about how it’s going to break him. Eventually he leaves and he is back in his kitchen and you see that he has mud on his hand. The same side as the hand that pulled him in, which was actually the girls hand, his reflection. So technically he and his emotional turmoil pulled himself into that toxic escape. Like I said I’m probably way off and reading in to it too much
