I heard the mirth in Nick’s voice and was totally expecting another rug pull, but I’m so glad he’s back on the One Piece train! Nick, as someone who also focused mainly on getting through the manga, I think you’ll naturally find yourself wanting to see some things animated and will find yourself dipping into the anime, which is more inconsistent but has some iconic and incredible music, and more recently some dare-I-say groundbreaking animation?

Please, please, please read up on Spy x Family. Not too long ago it had one of the best horrors of war *and* love as a redeeming factor story arcs in recent memory. Not spoiling the context of it, but it’s absolutely beautiful.

I think the movie matt was talking about was Miracle on 34th Street. It stars David attenburrough as Kris kringle and Mara Wilson as the protagonist. I memory holed this movie, but you're description of Santa getting arrested gave me a frightening childhood flashback. Thanks!

I’m sitting here wondering…has anybody at get played get animed watched an anime called gintama? It’s a comedy at the forefront but there’s some arcs that showcase a wonderful ability for story telling, it’s a great anime that made me laugh as much as I cried, good large amount of episodes and it made fun of me on about three different occasions for binging the content, it was a beautiful piece of media and if I need to point talk to a season that does IT for the series I’ll comb through and have something , desperate to hear ANYBODY cover it
