In the early years Batman was indeed grey and blue. And the grey would often look like violett or purple because grey was different to print back then. This is also the reason why the Hulk became green although he was supposed to be grey and even was grey in the first issue. The first time Batman was black was in the 1989 movie. In the comics he became Black In 1995.

Jen you legend, you all amaze me in you content you react too. It was a thing back in my day rushing home from school to watch Batman.

The Batmobile was a modified 1955 Lincoln Futura by custom car designer Chuck Barris.....

Hope this isn’t going too far, but if I remember correctly, early on in Season 1 Batman always had a problem with Robin when Catwoman guest starred. I think early on in the first season there was even an episode titled “Two Hands on the Batpole, Robin! Two Hands!”

I want to start a rumor that the bomb scene was the last gag Buster Keaton wrote before he died that same year.

The tilted camera angles were a signature of the TV series. Unfortunately, there were no movie sequels since the show was cancelled after three seasons.

HOLY CAMP-TASTIC BATMAN! 🤣 Always wondered how all these actors could keep their composure during those ridiculous scenes. I'll bet the blooper reel is an absolute riot!

Yes, the music!! The great jazz composer Neal Hefti (also wrote theme to The Odd Couple). His album of music from the TV show is a favorite of mine. In 2003 they made the movie Return to the Batcave with Adam and Burt playing themselves and re-creating the behind the scenes. Very funny. And with Julie Newmar as Catwoman.
