This week it's the return of a character I'm often amused by (though I know some of you aren't fans) but this time she gets some real depth and backstory. Engage! ðŸ––

Can't deny, this is a hard one to come back to, for a couple reasons. The first is rather ticky-tacky, in that the episode suffers from that S7 lethargic pace we've seen a few times now (and won't be the last either, sadly). But ultimately, I find The Reveal almost needlessly cruel to Lwaxanna, a character that already has had her share of tragedy (lost husband, the 'Half A Life' episode, etc.). Granted, Majel Barrett sells the Hell out of it, and perhaps that's what makes it even harder to revisit, knowing its coming. The strengthened bond between her and Deanna does some to alleviate that pain, but man, this episode can be such a gut-punch...

This one gets me teary every time. Thanks Jen!

Kudos on you for watching this while pregnant! If I watched anything even remotely sad when I was pregnant I'd be bawling!

Kirsten Dunst was 11 years old. Reminds me of her age in Interview with the Vampire (1994). I like this Lwaxana episode. My favorite Lwaxana is S4 "Half a Life".
