The trip wasn't a break up, Ung went overseas for 6 months once and his teacher wanted to send him again for 2 years after he came back which Ung refused because he didn't want to go for that long. That's the conversation Yeon Su heard and then eventually broke up with him.

Thank you guys for taking a chance on this show and allowing it to breathe (I say this as someone who'd never seen it until a few weeks ago and then immediately binged and am now firmly entrenched). It's a slow burn and a character study and would be easy to disregard, so I appreciate you both taking the time.

She keeps touching him between his brows when he's sleeping because (as she mentioned during their trip) he always frowns when he sleeps. And I feel like it's something she's always done when they were together. As for the reason why he frowns during his sleep,,, you will probably figure it out when we get to Ung's backstory.
