From what I have read and heard about the theories and from the creators themselves....the players getting shot by dozens of bullets or arrows and stuff but still not dying....that's actually not a plot armor or anime inspiration or bizarre That's basically the people's will in the real world to live...hence, people without that will strength like the hat guy who broke his wrist, and chota and karube...they actually lost their will hence they died but other characters....them not dying basically denoted their will to continue life in the real world
