Unfortunately the video just cut off during ep 1 😭 You can maybe reupload if you still have the footage? Hoping there was no other problems with it 🤞🤞 Really loving watching this series with you guys 🙌

S3ood

I have been enjoying your reaction to this show so much. You make me laugh every time with your wild theories. I was hoping to get to watch both episodes 1 & 2 but it seems there might have been a problem. Thank you so much for your constancy and I will be waiting for the Re upload. love you guys and stay safe

Kindyh Bordat

I hope you guys will reup it soon

I am a FIRM believer that Lingli is voiced by the same person as Gyokuyou (AKA Anya from Spy x Family) If you clipped Lingli crying and Anya crying it would be the SAME.

Runhua Tang

I hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those "The files got corrupted, all the recordings are gone" kind of situation. That would suck.

Yorutia

She is. Double casting for mother and child. Imagine switching between Gyokuyou-hi’s voice and baby voice during recording.

Nooo~ I was so invested right as it cut off~ 😭 worst timing lol Fun fact: when you said the intro looked "almost 3D" it's because it is 3D lol Japan utilizes a special technique of animation where they layer traditional 2D animation on top of 3D models and use CGI to add more depth to scenery and objects in anime, so it keeps the 2D feel of traditional animation, but gets the gorgeous depth of color and landscape of CGI. There's a behind the scenes documentary for the anime Food Wars that explains and demonstrates this method, and while not all anime use it, the really good ones do, and Apothecary Diaries is one of the shows that use this method of animation. 🥰 it adds so much flavor to a better form of animation than just full CGI I think (which sadly seems to be the way a lot of anime are beginning to head towards. Eventually, anime might end up like Disney) About the alphabet, I can't speak for Chinese, but Korean and Japanese are really simple to learn. Specifically with Japanese, they are a syllabic alphabet that have a pattern of consonant+vowel with only a few exceptions, so the entire alphabet is just A,E,I,O,U and the consonants K,M,N,H (except for with U, the H turns into an F, so instead of Hu, it's Fu but with the breath of an H before the F sound) S, T and Y (only Ya, Yu, and Yo). After learning the main set, you can then add in the modifiers which are " and ° that turn certain sounds into harder forms so Ha は becomes Ba ば or Pa ぱ It sounds more confusing than it is lol but using a memorizing system like flashcards and just writing them over and over, you can learn all of the hiragana in 3 days to a week depending on your efforts. 😊 you can also look up a chart to see the whole alphabet to see what I mean. Korean, I'm still learning to the level that I can explain it to others, but the most useful thing that taught me in one day was a chart that had the character followed by examples like "eo = U in bUcket" or to learn the pronunciations better, I use the phonetic alphabet chart (but you'd have to also learn the phonetic alphabet to do it this way)

Yorutia

Well, you are omitting the fact that kanji IS part of the Japanese language. So it's not just a syllabic alphabet system. And as for Chinese, it is, obviously, a 100% non-phonetic language. So for native speakers of this kind of East Asian languages, you simply learn everything all at once. The writing, pronunciation and meaning are the three things associated to a word that you just have to memorise all together. As a parent (or teacher) teaching a young kid (or a foreign beginner), you simply start by writing out the simplest words, point to it and enunciate it, then associate it with a meaning (e.g. point to an object). Patterns and structures of written words will come naturally as they learn more and more words. There is simply no shortcut. It is therefore strongly theorised that the most effective way of teaching a new language to an East Asian is very different from that for an American/European. Because East Asians almost always learnt their language by associating written words with pronunciation and meaning all at once, visual cues are much more important when learning a new language. Without being shown how a word is written, they will have a harder time committing new words to their memory. While for Americans/Europeans, it has been shown that focussing on only speaking and listening (and only show how a word is written occasionally) is a more effective way to learn a new language, at least at beginner level. (But obviously there will be individual differences.)

Calm down person below me, they'll get it done when they'll get it done as long as it's not corrupted or deleted by now

Claude

Yo, chill mate. They do have a life, and work, and kids to take care of. They will get it done as soon as they can (or notice the honest mistake). Let’s be patient alright, please.

Barry

To anyone else who wants to tune out those kind of people, if you click into the profile name there is a drop down menu titled more which has a block user option.

Chideraa Udegbulem

Pretty sure Chinese doesn’t have an alphabet

halastair

Needs a re-upload if it's not corrupted or something like that!

Fabien

I assume you already noticed something was wrong or you saw one of the messages, so I worry you didn't fix it yet because you don't have the file anymore (corrupted ?). That would be a shame :/, even if there's little we can do about it.

Yorutia

They still haven't liked any of the comments, which they usually do after reading. So I think they were simply busy and still haven't come back to read any of the comments, and therefore still haven't realised the issue yet. They would probably inform us if it was really a corrupted file.

Bambi

they uploaded a s2 ep1-4 reaction as a free version if you want to see the rest of this one bc the video cutoff :)

Cat Huang

i've heard the exact same thing that maomao has abt cats bahahahgs "what? you don't like cats with that name?" i like cats but i like dogs more :P
