I havent watched this documentary, so idk if theyll mention it. But im surprised they didnt mention "locked in" when discussing how the idea came about. Obviously they dont wanna name other shows, but imo, it felt kinda on the nose that they watched another yt reality show, taking 10 ytbers/tiktokers, into a house with no connection to the outside, and they were explicitly talking about the season of locked in where danny aarons and tennessee were in the show, and how that show increased dannys popularity because it showed him as a calmer, more human character. And then in the same pod, they discussed a potential show that they could run themselves. The obvious USP is that inside would have the money aspect where contestants drain their own prize fund.

I feel like after watching alot of JJ's content in general, he does have a massive ego as "KSI" he also has a large ego as JJ but what the sidemen have said before is that they reel him in and bring him back down to earth

Just to clarify, Tobi was the only one there almost "24/7" for season 1 of Inside(I'm not sure if he did the same for season 2) but the rest of the boys went on-site whenever they were hosting and they all had access to live streams on their phones which Simon talked about.

There were three BTS episodes for Inside Season 1 that shows some more of the behind the scenes, which you might enjoy.

Josh and Behz said in a Sidecast after the documentary, that they couldn't remember who's initial idea it was. But after the show was a success, JJ was telling anyone and everyone that it was his idea so they just assumed it was him. And they didn't realise JJ was taking all the credit for the idea until they actually saw the podcast clip when they watched the documentary.
