I usually choose sub, but edgerunner on dub is on another level. This is the only anime I watch on dub

English dubb please... Also, just a suggestion but it would be nice if you guys reacted to at least one English dubbed anime at a time

Didier

I believe the english dub should be de facto the correct language for it. The show was animated by a Japanese studio, but the script was written by a Polish author and the anime is the adaptation of a license that is originally set in english by default because its main storyline happens in a futuristic America. The World of Cyberpunk is a cyberpunk (duh) dystopian imagining of our society, therefore it is multicultural and full of slangs and accents of different origins. The Japanese dub is okay, but it doesn't catch all the nuances of such a plural environment. And the english dub is loved by the anime community overall, which is pretty rare. Also, some reactors do the mistake of watching one episode at a time, with a pause between episodes, and they end up feeling underwhelmed when it's over. It's because it's a short series designed to be bingewatched, like a long movie. Therefore if you watch it in such a detached manner, you may notice that the pacing is not always stellar, as if the story was rushed in some places and some elements of the plot touched on to go straight to the point (exactly like how the plot of a movie works). Just keep in mind that it was intended for the Netflix audience, who tends to bingewatch their shows. So I'd say it would be best to try watching at least 3 episodes per day if possible (or at least more than one), if you don't wanna lose the edge (pun intended).

There is no “correct” language - there’s the original, in which the medium was created, and then there’s the one you like or prefer. That’s all. People try to make a religion out of this - holymoly. Also, if a series can’t deliver just because you don’t binge it, it’s probably not a good series. Just saying.
