A lot of interesting titles in this poll. 'A Clockwork Orange' is probably the best overall; followed by 'District 9', 'Gattaca', and 'Pacific Rim'.

How is Clockwork Orange sci fi???

Jeff I.

District 9 is so good! Looking forward to that one if it stays in first.

District 9 is a unique film, both action and deeply thought provoking (and little Christopher is so cute). Gets my vote despite there being loads of first class others here.

For Hitchhikers Guide, try the old BBC series - shonky special effects aside it's way better IMHO, and also captures the real Britishness of Adams original books/radio series

Doug

And even today I think the original radio series is the best version, you could even just listen to that if you wanted. 👍 (Not for the channel obviously, but just because it’s a fun listen.)

David Lucas

Hello Addie! My vote goes to Oblivion, Gattaca, and Paul! Oblivion is hands-down one of my favorite sci-fi movies. And yes, before you ask, there is Tom Cruise running. You’re welcome. 😄 Gattaca is such a great sci-fi suspense thriller starring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law. It’s one of those stories where the main character beats the odds and chases his dream… super inspiring and really well done. And of course, Paul, featuring one of your favorites, Simon Pegg! A hilarious sci-fi alien movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously and will absolutely make you laugh. I think you’ll love it.

You ain't ready for clock work orange yet sweetheart

Robb

Best picture nominee DISTRICT 9
