Batman Beyond Blackout Reaction

Great reaction!! You're right about Inque being powerful!! (Getting closer and closer to Meltdown!! Can't wait!!)

Yo W reaction 👌🏾 This show is like "Batman almost meets the Jetsons" Cars are not flying yet, but they are hovering, and the buildings are getting bigger, and taller lol It's crazy hearing you say you'll see us in episode 4 when it feels like this is just episode 2 😂 Bruce is older than Powers... I think Bruce is in his 70's or at least 80 while Powers is 50 lol In the cave the mask Bruce put on was the "Grey Ghost" mask. I don't know if you remember or not, but Grey Ghost was Bruce's biggest hero from the animated series. Bruce father took him as a kid to go see him, and they got to work together years later. To see him put that mask on to help protect his identity is like full circle, because his hero is helping him again. At least that's how I viewed this 😅 Batman kept trophies of ALL his enemies in that cave... We just seen the cave in starcrossed where the Justice League was hiding out, and it was NOT that full 💯😂 Oh by the way; if you didn't know Batman beyond have comics out too. They've been doing comics for him for years. To end this I'm going to say... The DC Animated Universe is the BEST thing that was ever did for kids... Release order it started off with Batman, and ended with Justice League Unlimited... That's ok though, because it worked very well, and there really was nothing out of place. (I don't know if you've noticed or not, but compared to today they wrapped things up very well back then. You wasn't always satisfied with the ending, but not because it was bad.... It's because you wanted more) However if you want to watch it timewise from the show perspective instead of our release years... Again the genius... It started with Batman,Superman, Justice League, Static Shock, (Some say Teen Titans... Debatable) Justice League Unlimited, and ends with BATMAN BEYOND!!! 💯💯🎯🎯🎯 Anyway... Marvel tried doing the same thing... They did... Just not as successful. Most of their animated shows were cancelled after one or two seasons... They did better with the movies years later obviously... Until they didn't 😒 Ignore all this lol great reaction 👍🏾 ✌🏾

Great reaction! Just wanted to mention a corporate saboteur in this context is a person who works for corporations to sabotage other corporations not someone who is necessarily anti-corporation. Another example might be in Cyberpunk 2077 if Militech hired an agent to sabotage an Arasaka project. As you can probably tell Batman Beyond draws heavily from the Cyberpunk genre and its aesthetic. I'm interested to see how you think the show balances its cyberpunk influences with the superhero genre.

Loved this reaction! Totally agree with you on Bruce retiring because of the gun thing. There were likely other factors, but the gun was definitely the final straw. Also, since you enjoyed this episode so much, I might suggest adding "Disappearing Inque" to your Season 1 watch list. You'd probably find that one pretty interesting.

Well as you saw Terry is still just getting used to this Batman stuff and that Inque lady was just freaky and so was Derek Powers too. Also I know you were glad to see Babs again as the new Commissioner Gordon at the end there!

I'm so happy you decided to watch this video as you get introduced to another one of Terry's villains, Inque. As others have mentioned, one of the great things about Terry is that he has his own rogues gallery and it's not just reusing Bruce's villains. Like he has the Jokerz, Derek Powers/Blight and now Inque. Inque is such a unique villain and her design is so cool. I think the person you were trying to compare her to was the Superman villain Livewire. The corporation Foxtecha being ran by Lucius Fox Jr., is in reference to Lucius Fox Sr. If you remember, Lucius Fox is a prominent ally for Bruce as he helps Bruce with Wayne Enterprise as its CEO and upgrading and supplying more of his tech and gadgets as Batman. He was played by Morgan Freeman in the Nolan trilogy and was in Arkham Knight. In this, Lucius Jr., once worked for Wayne Enterprises (now Wayne-Powers) but was unfortunately fire by Derek Powers. While obviously not the same person, you have met Lucius' son Luke Fox in the DCAMU movies who becomes Batwing. Idk if you noticed, but the hat and glasses Bruce put on when Inque infiltrated the Bat Cave was of the Grey Ghost, which was Bruce's childhood hero growing up and was played by Adam West in that BTAS episode when were introduced to him. I'm so happy you're enjoying this series and I hope you continue with it. After you finish the series, if you want, you can check out the Batman Beyond comic series that was done in 2011 that acts as a continuation of the show and goes more indepth with the characters if I remember correctly. But I'm so ready for you to keep going on with this. I'm really excited to see your reaction to one of the upcoming episodes. I don't believe it's the next one but the one after that. Also idk when you're going to be going back to it but I can't wait for you to begin reacting to the Injustice 2 cutscenes and going back to the DCAMU movies. I believe the next one is The Death of Superman. So can't wait!

I love the batman the animated references in this show and that riddler outfit with the goggles that bruce wears that u pointed out actually is the grey ghost outfit instead. which if u remember was that old failed actor played by adam west that helped batman on a case in batman the animated series and who bruce loved as a kid but i dont blame u for forgetting its been a minute and yea foxteca is a company thats important to bruce since Lucius fox’s son runs it and lucius has always been close to bruce but by now lucius would be dead like alfred from old age. There are so many other hero and villain characters that you’ll witness reappear in this show but of course much older in age and Its funny and should’ve been obvious to terry that water would beat ink lol but he has a lot to learn. Inque reminds me soo much of venom’s powers from spider-man except venom is a gooey alien symbiote. Also as far as bruce using a lazarus pit like u mentioned in the end there are actually a few Elseworlds comics like one comic where bruce does in fact use the lazarus pit to prolong his life in order to fight crime for even longer than his usual life span and also to lead and transform the league of assassins into a force for good. Anyways great reaction as usual.

I'm watching this for the first time with you lol saw all the other shows but skipped this cause I only wanted bruce as batman but I warmed up to this but I did see the animated movie tie in to this. But selfishly I was hoping you would see two or three episodes per video since they're short episodes plus wanna see justice league unlimited so bad with you 😆 but overall good episode

I’m so excited for you to eventually watch “Meltdown” a few episodes after this, which I think you’ll love even though it’ll make you cry. Batman Beyond season 1 is so peak!

Starting out Batman Beyond with an incredibly dangerous new Rogue. Like Clayface but far smarter and stronger. Meanwhile Terry is still learning the ropes and Inque nearly destroys both him and Bruce. Derek Powers really is the face of mega-corporate evil, and worse he's been able to contaminate Waynetech via the merger, using Bruce's parents' company to produce bio-weapons deadlier than anything Roland Daggett ever dreamed of.
