Injustice 2: Chapter 8 & 9

First of all in that Injustice world Diana is just NOT a Wonder Woman! She's just a tyrant-hungry warrior queen who was already kinda aggressive from the start. You should read the Injustice 2 Annual #1 comic and see her Injustice origin story for yourself. Anyway after seeing what she just did to Harley, Supergirl now knows the real truth about her AND Superman and everything else, including how Batman was really a good guy.

Phantom Penance

Wonder Woman reminds me of the Wakandans in the Black Panther movies—her isolation from the human world has given her a sense of judgement, a belief that she is better than humanity and therefore is worthy to rule it. It’s possible that main world Diana holds these thoughts in her heart, but is tempered by beings like Superman who are filled with endless compassion. So when Injustice Superman lost hope, so did she.

Yeah when it comes to Wonder Woman in the Injustice universe, I don't see this version as being like the Wonder Woman of the main universe. I won't go into it but you should read the Injustice 1 prequel comics and the Injustice 2 comics to learn about the other things Superman, Wonder Woman and the other characters in Superman's regime did. I feel bad for anyone whose first introduction to Wonder Woman is the Injustice games cause this is not at all a great representation of her character and really is character assassination. Diana has always been someone of love and compassion and not a bloodthirsty warrior killer like they depict her in this universe and how some writers try to portray her in the main comics (specifically in the New 52). One of my favorite quotes from Diana in one of her better comics is, "Don't kill if you can wound. Don't wound if you can subdue. Don't subdue if you can pacify. And don't raise your hand at all until you've first extended it." Like that is the type of person Diana really is. I know this version seemingly lost hope after the Metropolis incident but I don't think any version of her would side with Superman. As for Cheetah, I definitely recommend watching the History of Cheetah video to understand her as she is one of Wonder Woman's greatest enemy and really one of her top archenemies. I think you'd really love reading up on their relationship and their dynamic. I'm also happy that Supergirl learns that she was lied to by Diana and Black Adam and defended Harley after Diana tried to kill her. It is sad seeing how far Superman has fallen to be a literal tyrannical dictator. And even with what happened to Lois and Metropolis, this is another case of character assassination because I don't think Superman would turn into this in the main universe. But now Supergirl realizes that her cousin and his team are the real evil ones and that Batman is actually the good one. I did love that dialogue with Kara and Bruce and him explaining how he lost his friend Clark and how he's missed him ever since. Showing that Bruce misses his best friend and doesn't recognize who he has become. But thanks for another double chapter reaction again! I have said it before but yes please react to a History of Shazam first and then the History of Black Adam videos by Variant Comics. I say watch both because Shazam and Black Adam are connected in a way not only because they are archenemies of each other but because of the similarities and origins of their powers. I assure you both characters are not lame at all and are actually very interesting, despite how people feel about Zachary Levi's Shazam and The Rock's Black Adam. Outside of those two, they are amazing in animation and the comics. But can't wait for the next chapters for this DC month! Also I know you've read George Pérez's run on Wonder Woman and are aware of Absolute Wonder Woman but besides Absolute Wonder Woman, I suggest you read Wonder Woman Historia to have a better understanding on the Amazons and Themyscira as I believe it's a modern retelling of what Pérez established in his run. I also highly recommend you read Greg Rucka's, Gail Simone's and Phil Jimenez's comic runs on Wonder Woman as they are classic runs of her like Pérez's run on her. Those will give you a far better understanding of what Diana's character is actually like unlike what they did in the Injustice universe

Good video! Injustice Diana is the most corrupt version of the character. They detail this more in the Injustice prequel comics but in the Injustice universe, Diana became more cynical because she experienced betrayal that altered her worldview of humanity. These games were a lot of people’s introductions to these characters so it’s unfortunate that they think this is how some of these heroes are like when it isn’t true. This is how Damian gets viewed by half of the fans because of this game saying he’s a brat whereas he’s more complex in the canon universe. Now a days, the hate for him is mostly gone as he has gotten more character growth. But it’s sad how a evil version of Wonder Woman made people think that’s how she is in general. 😑 Diana’s biggest strength is her compassion. Of course you know people were sick of the evil Superman trope so thank you to James Gunn for reminding everyone who Clark really is.

I’m interested for you to learn more of characters like Cheetah & Captain Cold. HeroesKey & I shared videos about them in the YouTube recs. I’m excited for the possibility of a Blue Beetle reaction. I also be interested for you to see more Teen Titans content too like the animated series. :)
