Thanks for the chapter! Hopefully those orbs aren’t as bad as they seem, because from their current description, they seem like they should not be used. Which is a shame, based on how many of them there are now.

It sounds like, conceptually, they would make good magic items. That's my guess anyway - it seems like the order is getting more and more artificers/better at imbuement with orbs from different dungeons. And last chapter there was the thing about how it's easy to make lil pendragons, but difficult (or perhaps impossible) now to make a different kind of dragon because they were setting the pattern of the way things work, so using orbs to make magic items would make sense.
