Not much to say this week. Half of my week is dedicated to writing N&D while the other half is spent on exploratory writing. Thought I would hate this method of writing, but it's working out well. So long as I take good notes on N&D because... man, that story gets confusing.
Reading has been slow for me, but I'm about to finish up Deadman Walking by C.B. Titus. Just getting a HUGE hit of nostalgia from the fallout-like world. Especially since the book is from a ghoul's perspective.
As a big fan of Dwarf Fortress, I'm looking forward to reading Beers and Beards by JollyJupiter when it comes out all edited and nice on KU next week. It's just way easier to read this stuff on my phone, so I'm usually consuming KU content.
So, there was this concept a long time ago. I can't remember the name, and cannot be bothered to google it. But people used to think if you were feeling angry you should go fight a dude. Get all of that out of your system. This, of course, doesn't work. But that didn't stop me from writing some nonsense Cyberpunk wizard story to get violence out of my system.
From a writer's perspective, I think it's working. N&D has a tendency to edge toward big things happening. People dying everywhere and not having a good time. Of course, the focus was supposed to be about happy slice of life stuff, but you know. I'm hopeful that this exercise helps me keep everything all happy within the fiction.
Hey, I wrote someone dancing and hugging the other day. That's a good step, right?
Anyway, thanks for the support folks. You're the best.
