I'm so weirdly nostalgic for the humming noise Ainsley does when he's necromancing, cf. the 36 minute mark. It's a very 2004 'Generic Mysticism Sound'. It was honestly like half of the soundscape of Silent Hill 3.

Cass I've been absent for about a month now, so I just spent today catching up on the end of S4 through to here. It is a WILD ride! Regarding Spike being in the opening credits, keep in mind that they put Tara into the opening credits for just one episode. Oz had been in them for a while, but was removed when he left six episodes into S4. It's not impossible that somebody might be there just for a very short time. Regarding the amulet and who was supposed to wear it, the third possibility is that BUFFY was supposed to wear it. Maybe the Senior Partners didn't want any vampire at all to become a ghost, maybe they wanted to kill the leader of the new Slayer army. There's a whole lot of possibilities.
