Sven

you jump scared me more than the movie. took me a while to not jump too when you did. then it was fun KEKW

Ian A

This was really good. Yes that actress is the daughter from Twilight and also young Murph in Intersteller. McKenzie Foy. Thanks for the reaction! I also agree with Sven, your jumpscares scared me way more than the actual movie.

Tgrmas

would you guys say, this movie is a good example of a good horror movie?

Rob Schofield

Yes while a bit to slow paced it does build the suspence very well. And compared to many newer horror the scares feel earned and not cheap. There a real creepy atmosphere to this movie that you dont see in alot of horror today. And pretty well acted too.Why do you not like it?

Tgrmas

I guess thats the problem I have with horror movies, especially for the last 15+y... if your only strength is jumpscares, you fail in my books, since jumpscares are just cheap and easy. And if you dont have jumpscares anymore (last 20 mins of this flick), its just lackluster action.

Rob Schofield

You are Not the only one who feels this way. I heard this from people I have talked to about modern horror. My opinion when it comes to this movie is that James Wan just does these kind of movies better than most. So I don't disagree with your opinion at all. I think the story was pretty well done. The scare moments are done well enough to feel the tension and anxiety build. But I don't think that's the only strength the movie. The acting for the most part was good enough for me to care about these characters. And if I care then I am more invested in the movie. But yes most horror movies today rely to much on jumpscares.

James Evanko

I finished watching the movie at 9:17 PM. If your clock stops at that time, it's me. Say hi.

James Evanko

Ha, ha. An old friend/ex-coworker just popped up out of the blue and sent me a link to a music video called "hello." This is getting real now...

Rob Schofield

Joey King from the kissing booth is the actress playing the daughter Bissie.

His comment: "I don't know exactly why, but I really like this YouTube video https://youtu.be/c9thvmIOdnQ" He was compelled by spirits.

Diabolical forces are formidable. These forces are eternal, and they exist today. The fairy tale is true. The devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people.our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow." - Ed Warren

If you're looking for some levity, consider watching My Cousin Vinny or Parenthood

I am not a fan of horror movies in general but jump scares are the worst imo. Supernatural horror is not my choice either. Whether or not you consider JAWS to be a horror movie it succeeded in scaring the shit out of millions of people from ever putting one foot into an Ocean. Now thats fear on a whole different level. I like classic horror Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein etc...

jerry hinkle

Yep I could not watch this for very long too afraid Biss was gonna give me a heart attack. She scared me more than the movie did. I am sure I will finish at some point when its not Dark outside.... no joking I'm seirrrreeooos. Biss try a Dracula movie if you wish to see what I call a Horror Love Story. Either Bram Stokers Dracula (with Keanu Reaves) or Dracula Untold (not as much of a love story, more like a Horror War movie with a little love on the side).

Glen Wood

I love all of your reactions, but I think this is the best one yet! This is the only kind of movie that really scares me, but I enjoy them because there's not much else that does. Watching it with you and being scared together was a ton of fun! Please, please, please consider watching more movies like this in the future. Ba baiii!

jerry hinkle

Ok I feeeneeshed. I'm glad I did, Had to wait until day time though. Biss if you do another I do think you would like Bram Stokers Dracula. Famous actors you will know and more love story than horror movie. Try it you'll like it. if you have time and wish too. take care . Keep it cute.

I wish they scared me like you. I haven’t been scared by a movie since I was a little kid.

Hey it was fun to watch you in this one 😊 You asked for a comedy, here is one, Click (2006) - comedy

I saw The Exorcist at the theater when I was 12; that was the last movie that really scared me. I would love to get as scared as you are watching these movies. Enjoy that fear while it's still there; one of these days, you might become desensitized, too.
