Another great based on a true story movie is Black Hawk Down. Excellent movie and when the proole that were actually a part of it had their screening they cried and thanked them for such an accurate portrayal and getting their story out.

Hi Artie & Denise.. 🌻 Hope You Both are Doing well. I'm Surprised as this is a Movie, I've NEVER Heard of or Seen .. until Today. Watching it, with Both of You, makes for a Entertaining Experience .. even Though it is Difficult to Watch at Times., it's still ENJOYable. Having it Based on a True Story, makes it more Heartbreaking, as it Draws You into the Conflicts of War, overall a GREAT Movie. Thankyou Both fir this & See You in your Next Viewing ... Didn't see it mentioned but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching FNG Academy do a "react" to this. Sean and Kurt, who are ex-Green Beret operators (Special Forces, almost on the same level as SEALS), talk about certain scenes. They both did tours in Afghanistan and praise how combat is presented as well as how they portray the soldiers themselves. It's a great watch. Again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. FNG Academy Lone Survivor in YouTube search should bring it up for you. They have lots of other war film and show breakdowns, talking about good representation and bad representation. Fun series and the hosts are funny as hell.

Highly second this one! I rewatch this one once a year since I saw it in the theatre. And definitely do the Director's Cut /Extended Edition. The added footage really does ADD to the movie. Oh and it's a RIDLEY SCOTT film, so you know the direction and cinematography is gonna be great. Has one of my favorite film soundtracks as well. Hans Zimmer.

Black Hawk Down has been on our list and we definitely gotta get to it very soon! It's always amazing when a movie does justice to a true story - that's how it should be! We'll be sure to keep in mind to do the Extended Edition, especially with Ridley Scott that makes a huge difference! You already had us but with Hans Zimmer scoring it, now we're even more on board! I will warn you. You better have a new box of tissues handy. It is very powerful and moving. I want to thank you guys for actually reading and responding to everyone's comments. A lot of reactors don't and that's why I only have subscribed to 2 movie reactors and you are one of them. You know what you are talking about with movies and make entertaining and educational comments as well as have great communication with your followers. Not many reactors do that. Saw this in theaters, completely full, and at the end it was the most quite and somber I've ever seen leaving a theater. Second to that would be American Sniper in theaters, for somberness. Black Hawk Down is a must watch, and a must read as well.

I'm a big fan of Peter Berg as a director and actor. This film I watched after reading the book.. The real Marcus is in this film. He's in the beginning at the camp, he's the big guy at the picnic table that knocked over the coffee and told the new kid to clean it up. He had a few other shots he was in as well, He trained the actors for this, he also moved into Peters house for a month when Peter was rewriting and was the consultant on the writing and filming processes. He wanted it to be as accurate as possible to pay tribute to his fallen SEAL brothers. His story is heartbreaking, tragic but flippin incredibly heroic. This guy is an incredible guy.

The covenant with Jake Gyllenhaal is a great survivor modern movie
