Comments

Ryan Liechty

OMG one of my favorite comedies, I love this one, it’s funny, witty, a stellar cast and awesome zombie-killing action! So glad you guys reacted to this, I can’t wait to see your reaction!

Joey Cintron

One of the best zombie movies ever!

Michael G. Munz

...YOU'VE NEVER WATCHED GHOSTBUSTERS?!?!?!!?

BlueJean452

First of all…I’m gonna need you to watch Ghostbusters 😉😂. Second of all my zombie apocalypse weapon of choice is definitely a crossbow. Good for distance, quiet, and you can reuse your ammo. Also my favorite zombie comedy is Warm Bodies. You guys should check it out.

This is one of my favorite horror-comedies, and I had to just drop everything and watch with you when I saw this was up. I'm really glad you liked it. This and the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" (I think from 2005?) are two movies I watch during spooky season every year. I'd love to tell you what my weapon of choice would be in the zombie apocalypse, but the truth is, in any apocalypse or disaster scenario, I'd be dead the first day. I wouldn't get as far as having a weapon of choice. ✌️🤓

Damn... I just realized... Abigail Breslin, the kid who faked being bitten by a zombie, plays in another movie with Aarnold Schwarzenegger called Maggie.... The following is the movie premise, so it's not really a spoiler, but if you plan to see it completely blind, just stop reading this post.... In Maggie, she's Arnold's daughter, and she actually gets bit by a zombie but the turning is really slow. The movie is about how Arnold's character deals with the loss of his daughter as she slowly fades away. One of the better movies I've seen Arnold in.

First of all........See Ghostbusters NOW. Both of them. The original ones, you will love them. We would love watching them with you! Secondly, I forgot how fantastic Zombieland is. Woody and Jesse work so well together, even though both characters are over the top they somehow land in the believable. Mostly due to Woody being phenomenal. The little pieces of humanity sprinkled inbetween the gore, humour and horror really elevates this movie. Emma and Abigail deliver as well, both of them feel genuine enough you don't loose the immersion. Bill Murrays cameo is great as well, very funny segment in the film. Are there tropes? Of course! But they actually adress them (Kill of the week!). You can tell the writers clearly knew what zombie-movies are and messed around with it. I'm assuming we will get to watch the follow-up as well. Also, if you've never seen it, Shaun of the Dead. Fantastic british zombie-comedy.

I love "Zombieland" and agree with everything you said about it in your wrap-up. The only place where I felt like it faltered (and wish was different) was in the third act, where they had Wichita and Little Rock make a series of really dumb decisions that seemed (1) out of character for otherwise smart, crafty girls, and (2) only there because the writers needed to set up the rescue. As much as I still love the movie, those bits made it feel a little clunky and lazy at the end and, for me, kept it from being a perfect little movie. First of all, when they turn on all the power at Pacific Playland and don't think for one second about the lights and noise drawing in every zombie in the area. I try to suspend my disbelief there by saying they've been on this quest to give Little Rock a moment of childhood and, faced with the end of their quest, were so focused on crossing the finish line, they stopped thinking about the reality of the world around them. Still, it's a bit of a stretch and, as an audience member, I shouldn't have to work that hard to make it make sense. Secondly, when they dive out of the Hummer bc there are zombies on top and let it drive off the pier and into the water. Literally *anybody* in that scenario would just slam on the brakes, turn hard, or whatever to shake the zombies off of the vehicle, but no one without a screenwriter needing to set up a rescue scenario would get out of the car. That moment is one where I just have to sigh and say to myself, "Whatever," and wait for the next scene to start. And finally, when they choose to escape the zombies by getting on the ride that, yes, goes up but which, everyone knows, comes back down. AND, even if you get it stuck at the top as they did, has no exit. Even without zombies, you'd just die up there of starvation. It could've been set up that they were cornered and it was their only option but, instead, it just feels like another in a series of dumb decisions they made only bc the screenwriters didn't know how else to get them to the spot where they wanted them for the finale. The sad part is that they could've done the exact same "rescue" ending with just a few small tweaks to keep those dumb moments from standing out like a sore thumb. Like, they could've had a zombie pop up in the backseat of the Hummer as the girls tried to escape -- a nice callback to Columbus's rules, especially after establishing earlier with the seatbelt conversation that Wichita doesn't follow the rules he does and wouldn't have checked the backseat -- and that could've forced them to jump out. Or, y'know, just have them blow a tire, lose control, or whatever in the chaos. Literally anything would've been better than just "Okay, let's jump out of the Hummer because there's zombies hanging on to the outside of it." Still, don't get it twisted. I really love this movie and agree with everything else you said (and don't really need to repeat it all back to you). I just felt a little too much of the heavy-hand of the filmmaker in the last act and wish they'd made it make sense instead of just artificially and illogically railroading the characters to get to a desired final sequence.

During your discussions about zombie apocalypse survival, I was thinking about your gaming channel and was wondering if y'all have played 7 Days To Die? If not, you should def check it out (maybe a good one for spooky season gaming vids?). It's a very popular zombie survival game with crafting, base-building, and a "blood moon" every 7 days which causes the zombies to get stronger, faster, and go straight buckWILD for one night (thus, the necessity of the base-building). Also, if you have the equipment to do so, you can play it co-op, which could be fun. If not, it's fun solo (with a backseat gamer) as well. As for my zombie apocalypse weapon of choice: A crossbow, all day. It's not as flashy as an RPG or flamethrower, but it's quiet, it's easy to carry a bunch of ammo, and the ammo is reusable. I would think that, in an IRL zombie apocalypse scenario, you don't want to make a lot of noise to draw in more zombies, and you don't want to have to carry bags and bags and bags of one-use shells. Ofc, I'm speaking as someone who always plays a sneaky hunter/sniper guy in games, especially zombie games, so I imagine that's the way I'd go IRL too.

BigFresh918

You guys seriously need to watch What About Bob?, its incredible. 90's Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfus comedy gold.

BigFresh918

Also, Shaun of the Dead is by far the best Zombie/Horror Comedy and its not even close. If you haven't seen that one, DEFINITELY react to it.

TheMediaKnights

Omg we heard amazing things about Shaun of the Dead, so we're adding it to our list, and we'll try to cover it asap! Halloween seems like the perfect time to do so!

TheMediaKnights

Oooohhhh that sounds like it's right up our alley, thank you so much for that recommendation! We'll definitely add it to our list and we'll try to get to it asap for our other channel!

TheMediaKnights

Oh no way, she's actually been in so much and it's so cool to see the kind of talented actress she's growing into! Thank you for that quick recap, we'll add it to our list and check it out when we can!

TheMediaKnights

Hahah we hear you, Ghostbusters and Shaun of the Dead are definitely on our list and we'll cover them very soon! Woody and Jesse had amazing chemistry and the way they worked with each other was such a joy for this movie! You're so right when it comes to the tropes - they used the tropes, but to their advantage, and still gave us something fresh and so so fun!

TheMediaKnights

Hahaha we heard you all loud and clear and are definitely gonna cover Ghostbusters very soon! Also love the crossbow choice, that's so smart! Warm Bodies sounds like a lot of fun, we're adding that to our list as well!

TheMediaKnights

Heyy, thank you so much for the kind words and support we appreciate you! We're so glad you enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine, we had such a blast with it! Thank you also for your recommendations, we've added them all to our list and will check them out as soon as we can! Much love!

Helion

Not only that. It was the first movie of that kind, to see Arnold in. When people hear, Arnold and zombies, they expect some bad-ass cheesy action, but this movie is nothing like that. It's just a grounded drama, and really shows Arnold's range. There was also another movie he played in, called Aftermath, from 2017. This one is inspired by real events, but it's the same theme, and has the same tone. Arnold is incredible in both of these movies.

Stephen Caveney

Love this movie loved Denise's reaction. You should react Peter Jacksons Braindead and also his Bad Taste. I think you guys will the cheese and humour that goes into those 2.

Eddy Lheat-99

Shaun of the dead is another great comedy zombie movie

TheMediaKnights

Thank you so much for sharing your views on this film, especially it's finale. We get what you are saying, there was definitely a smoother way of handling things but glad that overall the film is fun. Happy to hear that despite some of those issues you still enjoyed the film!

Qui'Errah Marshall

A weapon for me would be bow and arrow, since I used to be in archery club and since the coach said I do better with long distance shots than up close. For a gun, since I was trained with it for camo(gotta be vague or staff will come after me), I'd say M18 service pistol.

JF Ranger

Another movie that was super fun to watch along with you guys. Great stuff.
