Comments

Joey Cintron

I absolutely LOVE this movie! Early comic book movies weren't all that bad. This was deep, it was full of message and meaning and you never needed to see V's face to say it!!! I love it!

1606 - The Gunpowder Plot fails 1607 - First colonisation of English America (Jamestown) 1776 - American Independence One could speculate that the early seeds were sown with the execution of Guy Fawkes, making him a martyr.

I absolutely love this movie, I've seen this many times and it's always amazing. I love that you both enjoyed it. I would love to see you both watch, Doomsday, 28 days later and Blood Diamond. They are wonderful movies and I know you would both like them. You are both my favourite reactors by far and I love watching your videos. 🖤💛🖤

Damn, you were struggling to keep your voice after the movie ended. Really powerful one.

I can’t get this YouTube to play. I had the same issue with Silence Of The Lambs. All of the others work fine for me. I really want to watch them both with you two. Any ideas? I use my iphone and the Patreon app for the watch along YouTube

Such a classic. Hugo Weaving is absolutely stunning here once again. Will watch along tonight for sure.

One of my favorite movies, I love the message and how it was delivered. I was thinking about talking about my past but that would cause to much shit, so all I am gonna say, think for yourself and believe and love the people around you. Remember, Remember.

One of my favorites. Trust me, basing things on Alan Moores books is not easy (as the movie League of Extraordinary Gentlemen teaches us). Moore writes in such depth comparing him to a "regular" author is more closely fitting than talking about comic books. This movie gets very close to the mark. Sure, there are scenes and storylines in the book that we don't really get to experience in the film, but that is to be expected. It is impossible to cram that much into a movie without making it many hours long. The essence and the message of the book is however conveyed in this film quite well. The dystopian Big Brother society painted here is terrifying and very believable. The chain of events is logical and there aren't really any plotholes. The acting is on point by pretty much everyone. Weaving steals the show of course, but then again that is not that unexpected. He chews up the scenes in the Matrix so to watch him do it again isn't really surprising. Portman is really good as well, her transformation throughout the movie is interesting and quite visable. Her face conveys a lot and I really like that. My favorite performance comes from Stephen Rea as Finch. To watch him uncover the corruption of it all and in the end decide he has to participate is beautiful. He is the viewer, the one we can all identify with, and he questions everything all the way. Good writing and excellent decisions from Rea makes that character possibly the most interesting in some ways. I could write an essay about the themes in the film, but honestly I think you got them all based on your discussion at the end. If you want to check out more films based on Alan Moore novels (that are actually good) I would recommend the following 2 movies: From Hell (2001) Watchmen (2009)

If you're a fan of this movie and the Matrix, which you should all be for sure, then look into Equilibrium. Brilliant movie with Christian Bale. Don't read anything about it. Put it on and watch it. Thank me later :)

Mister Lou

great reaction guys! this is one of my favourite movies, you gotta check out Cloud Atlas now!

Keeley Thurman

I haven't watched this movie in a long time. I am glad to find I still enjoy it! Also, random, but I appreciate that you both get emotional at the parts I find emotional in moves, lol. Some reaction channels have a talk over the emotion to not show the emotion or mess up the makeup sort of thing and don't let themselves feel the feels. I love that you let yourself. <3 have a great evening!

It’s funny I watched this movie the other day.

I love the cinematic reflection of John Hurt playing the dictator Sutler in V that a government and society feared. While also having played Winston in “1984” who lived in fear of the dictator Big Brother in that story.
