I grew up on the television show The Equalizer. It was an amazing show, and the movies do it justice and take it to a whole new level. The show started off with an ad in the paper that said something like "Need Help? Odds against you? Call the equalizer to even the odds". The ad at the end was a callback to that. Rewatching it with you today, I was struck by how much it felt like the movie Nobody. Another amazing movie, that I believed you loved too. Not saying it felt similar in a bad way. I loved both of them (and seriously looking forward to Nobody 2 in 2025).

Wait. After writing this, I decided I wanted to watch Nobody again with your reaction. I did a quick search and..... what? You haven't seen Nobody yet? I could've sworn...... Well, I'd highly recommend it. Especially considering that you loved this one.

I’ve never seen Denzel, Washington, anything that wasn’t good, dude even killed it as O. I guarantee you guys would really like a man on fire and of his best ones with a pretty good cast as well, Fallen.

Not sure the emoji pick for this one was the best. Most people went for Deja Vu because of that damn watch. Still, I'm not complaining. I'm hyped to see your reaction to the other two. But sometime before you watch 3, make sure you watch Man on Fire (if you haven't already). It'll be worth it. 😉

Here's how I fixed the 'mind racing but need to sleep' conundrum ... Audible audiobooks, I put one on when I go to bed and it prevents the rats from racing in my mind. And you get to listen to great books. In case this was not know "The Equalizer" used to be a TV-Series in 1985. It starred Edward Woodward who drove an ever cool Jaguar XJ6 Series III car in the series. The bit at the end is a silent nod to that series as that was the classified ad the old series used by the Equalizer to find his next customers in need : "Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer: 212 555 4200." I remember it fondly because it used to run fairly late on Saturdays where I lived and me and my grandfather used to stay up for it, being huge fans the both of us.

a good movie to watch if you want to see a good action movie is rumble in the Bronx the fight in that move are so crazy

The Equalizer-movies are very entertaining. Robert is a very competent character but not over the top with crazy ninja moves or something like that, he is just highly intelligent and skilled. I really love that, even though crazy moves can be fun as well. Also, the fact that he has depth and in all honesty tries his very best to not get into violent situations gives the character a charm that is sometimes lacking in these sorts of films. It does of course help a lot that Denzel is in the role, he is just never bad in any movie I feel. Chloe Moretz is also very good in this one, as well as Marton Csokas. Moretz plays Alina very well and honestly showcases some facets of her own that I haven't seen in some of her other roles. Csokas manages to be completely revolting the entire movie but also terrifying, as we can see he isn't just a schmuck. He is a very competent bad guy and we as an audience almost end up admiring him, even though he is just a vile person through and through. I do agree about the pacing in the last act, but I would like to add that I on the other hand love the pacing of the first act. We really get to know the important characters as well as establish very clearly what the main obstacle is for our protagonist. Sometimes we get thrown into these things too quickly with not enough depth, but not in this movie. Here we get to understand why Robert acts like he does way before he actually does anything of note. The connection between our main characters; Robert, Alina and Richie is established and understood before Robert has to actually act, and that is very good. There is some excellent camerawork as well, nothing to insane but some cool visuals that fit very well in the film. "Robert-time" is a neat tool to gives a good idea of how he percieves the things around him and helps us understand why he is so good at these sorts of situations. I assume you will be doing the full trilogy, that will be a fun ride with you guys! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you will have a happy New Year. Some recommendations for more Denzel that you may not have seen (also a Chloe Moretz classic): Man On Fire (2004) Inside Man (2006) The Magnificent Seven (2016) The Bone Collector (1999) Kick-Ass (2010)

I loved this reaction! Would you guys consider reacting to squid game ? The second season came out. And I think you would really enjoy the whole show and I would absolutely love your reaction to it. If you haven't already seen it.

DarkHeartsKing

Can you guys react to Salt? with Angelina Joelee? :)

Robert Robillard

I'm Sure, Ari & Denise will., if they Decide too .. But seeing that they have a lot of previous Requests to get too .. it will take Some Time, Before they Do - Be Patient as I'm sure they would Respect that.. Regards,

C. J. Ramirez

You should watch kick ass it has chloe in it

Zachary Hill

Y'all should watch Taken. It reminds me a bit of this but with a bit more of a personal feeling to it. Liam Neeson is my personal favorite actor and his performance in Taken is a big reason.

Kitty Titties

You should watch RED with Bruce Willis!! It's a comedy action and I think you guys would absolutely love it!!

Dariel

Definitely should watch John wick

Michael G. Munz

I'm watching your reaction (and The Equalizer for the first time) as I type this, and I wonder if you've ever seen the TV series Burn Notice, starring Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, and Bruce Campbell(!)? It's 7 or 8 seasons, so I figure it's probably not something you'd do reactions for--unless it's a Patreon exclusive?--but I think you might very much enjoy it. It's in the "former spy/agent helps ordinary people in trouble" vein, with a sense of humor. And, ya know, BRUCE CAMPBELL.
