Fantastic :) That's my afternoon sorted!

Jack Burton

Well alright. Grandaddy of sci-fi aesthetic and one of the best soundtracks, imo ofc, of all time. Such an amazing movie. Is 2049 on the docket?

Brilliant review. Brilliant. And congratulations Denise in spotting one of the many, many, many clues in the movie that suggest that Deckard himself is a replicant. There are plenty of them, but one stands out in several versions although it is omitted in others; the unicorn. There's a ton of theory on this! :) But don't get into it before seeing the sequel which suggests a partial answer! :)

I love this movie.... You should definitely watch the sequel.

Jack Burton

Everyone seems to miss the names/faces of the Replicants in the police HQ scene when watching this. They don't recognize/remember Priss and the Snake Lady. ... Also you guys forgot he was retired before the Chief brought him back in for this job. He was already done with it before this...

Can't wait to watch the sequel! Thank you for watching this with us. This film had many themes that were deeper than we anticipated but it's always great to see a film asking such questions.

Loved watching this with you guys! Sharing one of my favorites is always fun. Thought I would throw in some recommendations (or hopes at least). I know I'm late on the ball and I don't know if you guys read comments on old reactions, but I will try to catch up and then repost in that case. Would love it if you guys could watch: Blade Runner 2049 Lucky Number Slevin Payback Mad Max 1-3 (Mad Max, Road Warrior, Beyond Thunderdome)

I discovered you today on a YouTube compilation reaction video and your commentary seemed incredibly intelligent, so I had to check you out. You really have some of the most thoughtful commentary I've seen, including incredible notice of things like camera work. This is one of my favorite films since my dad showed me at maybe age eight or so, when there was only the old-school version with Deckard's voice-over, which it is so good to have gone. The only bonus it had was telling us that Roy was so close to death that he valued any life, including Deckard's. Many people don't pick up on that and the ending leaves them a bit confused. Rutger Hauer was the actor who played Roy and is actually responsible for the dialogue you loved so much at the end. He improvised the "tears in rain" line; it wasn't part of the script. He's a brilliant and incredibly underrated actors and I cannot recommend checking out more of his body of work. Personally, I hated the sequel, though I know I'm in the minority. I really disliked that it eliminated the entire question of whether or not Deckard was a replicant. But I sat in the theatre wondering when it would end, and I could leave. Anyways, apologies for the super long review, but you two are awesome and I look forward to more reactions. If you take recommendations, I'm a huge film nerd and am happy to throw them your way.
