Lethal Weapon (1987) Movie Reaction (YouTube)

It's so cool to see you reacting to these great 80s movies. Your insights are so spot on and I really enjoy not only your reactions, but your feedback on the characters and the filming.

Thank you! It really means the world to us to see you guys enjoying the reactions but also the discussions afterwards. You guys are truly the best!

I loved your reaction to this! Let me tell you, when this movie came out, Gibson was smoking hot. Many of us girls crushed on him like Roger's daughter did.

Two favorite Mel Gibson films: Braveheart (historical drama), ranks right up there with Gladiator. Maverick (western/gambling comedy based on an old B&W tv show starring James Garner who is also in the movie). It's really funny, and there's a fun cameo with Danny Glover in it.

Braveheart is great, but don't forget Rob Roy (1995, same year) with Liam Neeson and Jessica Lange. This was totally overlooked b/c of BH, but it has some spectacular landscape shots and uniquely exciting sword battles.

It's pretty epic, especially since the Gibson's character was a real person. Obviously some creative license, but some facts. It's a great film. Someone else mentioned Rob Roy, which then made me think about Dances with Wolves. I don't see that on your channel, so if you haven't seen that privately it's well worth a watch. Really fantastic story, cinematography, acting, music, all of it. Will get your right in the feels. Historical drama of the American West during the Civil War. It won 7 Oscars: Picture, Director, Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Original Score and Sound.

James Forrest

Oh wow! Soooo chuffed you guys are considering Braveheart! As a Scot myself it's like our national film :) Although hisorically speaking it gets so many facts wrong its almost a parody, the Braveheart Spirit, the soul of the film, the idea of our country in its long struggle with England, it just hits it with such precision that even the parts you know are bunk will lift your spirits every time its on ... really amazing film, so brilliantly choreographed and written superbly. Wallace was part legend and so it captures that beautifully. Cannot wait to see you guys do that film, that's gonna be great. Any excuse to watch it, everything you've heard is on the nose, it's really something.

James Forrest

Oh and Rob Roy, wow. There's a recommendation! Another film I could rave about all day long, especailly the performance of Tim Roth which blew me away when I first saw it.

The Patriot would be a good one. Mel Gibson, Jason Isaacs, and a very young Heath Ledger.

Is thier any way now you've done this one (been a while now) that you will be doing the other 3 to complete the quadrilogy. This one was brill and the chemistry between & Glover is brilliant. The other 3 are just as good. Thank you for a brilliant channel.

Damn ya’ll really abandoned the Lethal Weapon series 😢 I thought you guys enjoyed this one
