Ahh the literal cop-out, always a pleasure witnessing the confusion on peoples faces when the movie ends!

This is one of my favorite comedies. It's just such inspired silliness. Monty Python was a comedy troop known for sketch comedy. They had a television show in the 1970s called Monty Python's Flying Circus which was very popular (including in the U.S.). The same six actors played all the roles, including most of the women. The show is clever and hilarious, so you may want to check out some episodes. Monty Python and Holy Grail was their first movie.

Until recently, movie credits were always shown at the beginning of the movie. So, this was normal for 1975. The credits are done in the style of an Igmar Bergman film (a very serious Swedish art film director) hence the fake Swedish subtitles and names. Oh, and there's no moose! "Life of Brian" next, please!

You’ve finally watched one of the greatest comedies of all time.

“It’s just a flesh wound” is something I and lots of other people throw around in everyday life from this movie lol

It's been many years since I watched this movie. Now that I see it fresh, I think that castle Aaahhrrgggg shows up in a couple of scenes in GOT.

I recommend Mel Brooks - History of the World Part 1

Welcome to Monty Python 🤣 You see there are great movies made before 1980!

Born in 1982 here, I did technically see it once in high school but in a big group friends setting so missed most of it. Guess it is time to watch it for real here.
