The coin which harvey had Heads on both sides, so he was not leaving anything to chance, it was always his choice before Rachel died. So, when he was threatening the crazy guy earlier he said "Heads you live" ; hence he was never going to kill him. After Rachel's death, one side of coin got burnt just like Harvey, so the burnt side became sort of like Tails. So later he was actually leaving everything to chance (coin flip) and didn't kill Ramirez. And great reaction as usual ❤️

You guys just saw one of the best comic book movies of all time. Probably the best. I definitely won’t argue against it. The acting and pacing is incredible. Also the Joker introduction is up there as one of the best character introductions ever.

Great reaction, as always. You two are quickly becoming my favourite reactors. When Bruce had to choose between saving Rachel and Harvey, he did choose Rachel. But the Joker, loving his headgames, reversed the addresses when telling Batman. Bruce thought he was going to Rachel, but was sent to Harvey. What a jerk that clown was.

The fact that you guys aren't super familiar with the characters made things a lot more surprising for you. There is a famous villain named "Two Face" in the DC comics, and he always flips a coin. So, if you had known that going in, you would have had your eyes on Dent from the beginning.

ChiefWill15

Yeah the joker knew how itd go, he flipped the addresses cause he NEEDED rachel to die for his plan with dent falling to happen.

ChiefWill15

The joker purposefully flipped the addresses on harvey and rachel. He knew batman would get there, but he needed rachel to die for his plan with dent falling to happen. All on purpose. Also when harvey shot batman it landed on tails, not sure how yall missed it hehe.

Heath Ledger’s official cause of death was ruled an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He had come down with pneumonia while filming his last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and was prescribed medication that conflicted with medications that he was already taking.

Landon

One of if not the greatest acting performance of all time by Heath Ledger

I think you guys might have missed it when Harvey was getting in the back of the police van, but when he tossed the coin to Rachel it was revealed that it had Heads on both sides, so up to that point he was never actually leaving anything to chance. However, after the explosion one side of the coin was left burnt, which he then used as an actual "Tails" when flipping to decide who to kill. So Harvey never actually changed the rules to shoot Batman, it only looked that way because the side it landed on had the Heads sign (as both sides do), but that was the burnt side. Others have already clarified the Rachel/Harvey choice the Joker tricked Batman into. As for Ledger's death, it was ruled an accidental overdose, not a suicide. He did talk about the toll playing the Joker took on him and that it worsened his pre-existing insomnia, so there may be an indirect link in terms of medication and dosage, but there was nothing to suggest his death was intentional. Great reaction as usual!

Another great reaction. Others have explained the things you may have missed and answered your questions.

It's really good for sure. I'll say the Batman games are probably the best version of Batman (outside of the actual comics) in my opinion. Some will say the animated series is the best, but for me it's the games. They capture the vibe and story of the comic books SO incredibly well. With each game better than the last (except for Origins. It was still REALLY good, but I wouldn't say it was better than any of the other 3).

Am back for GOT and saw that nobody mentioned this so figured I'd point it out -- during the scene where Joker blows up the hospital and the bombs only partially go off until he presses the detonator a few more times, that wasn't on purpose. They were all meant to go off at once, and when they didn't Ledger improvised the rest of the scene.

You guys chatted over the reveal that Harvey's coin is double sided!
