The comics of course. The 1960s tv series that was campy and fun that had the cartoon POWS & WHAMS in it. The same producers did one movie with the same cast members. The 1989 movie Batman with Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Danny Divito played the Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer played Catwoman in the 1992 movie Batman Returns. Michael Keaton was again Batman. In the 1997 movie Batman and Robin, George Cloony was cast as Batman. Chris O'Donnell was Robin. The villains included Armold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, Uma Thurman was Poison Ivy, Alicia Silverstone was Batgirl. And yes that's Tom Hardy. My opinion this is the best of this trilogy. Catwoman was always a criminal but one with a heart... in the end she always looked out for herself and the bad side of her character took the lead. Of course this movie ended on her good side. There was a tv series made after this trilogy called Gotham that focused on the origin story and Batman as a young man. Also a great British centered series called Pennyworth that tells the origin story of Alfred and Bruce's mother and father. Alfred was played by Jack Bannon. He has Michael Caine's accent down perfectly.

I actually like this one even more than The Dark Knight.

The city is Pittsburgh. The first two movies were Chicago.

For the Bat part at the end: What I have always gone with is that when the Bat causes an explosion on top of a building as it flies out of the city, it was actually a distraction where Bruce exited the Bat. The Bat could then fly out to the bay due to the piloting system being fixed. Even though there's a bunch of possible explanations for where/when/how he got out, this one made the most sense to me and fits his style of using distractions/deception which he learned in his training. Getting to see your reactions to things like the child reveal and the end were great, because it's the only way to slightly relive what it was like to see the movie for the first time. Cheers to a great trilogy of reactions Also the Batman and Robin movie from 1997 is good if you end up wanting to watch one with Robin featured in it.

Some scenes in this movie were shot in NY too, with Pittsburgh being the primary location

This is the weakest movie in the trilogy in my opinion. But Tom Hardy as Bane is pure awesomenes. Also the fight scene between the two in the sewers is epic, no music, just a long brawl with excellent acting.

The rollercoaster at end there Also Bruce left signs for everyone to let them know he is alive. Fox knows that autopilot was being fixed by bruce 6 months back. For Gordon Bruce fixed the bat signal and thats why he was looking up for him grinning. For Robin he left the coordinates of his bat cave in belongings. And of course Alfred had his fantasy fulfilled. Great reaction as always <3

I enjoy this movie more than some, probably because every time I see it I get all nostalgic from seeing it in the theater back in 2012. I annoyed my then girlfriend by excitedly slapping her leg when Batman first appeared in the tunnel on his bike lol. Also Anne Hathaway as Catwoman is something very early 20s me appreciated.

Also this isn’t breaking new ground but for me watching comic movies is a fun way to go back to being a kid. It doesn’t have to be super deep or anything. I grew up on Batman and X-Men cartoons in the 90s and as an adult watching Marvel or DC movies is just a fun nostalgic ride.

Fantastic reactions. Really loved watching these with you guys. Especially because you are so new to it. Should also watch The Batman (2022). Its a very different take and really enjoyable.

Now that you guys have watched all 3, you REALLY should watch the Badman series by Pete Holmes on YouTube. It's old but it's based on these movies and the whole series is only like 15 minutes. It's really funny and, if you like it he also recently did a new series called BatCanned just a couple years ago and it's also really good. If you feel like some good laughs, check them out and maybe post your reactions here!

Definitely consider checking out the Tim Burton Batman films. A bit closer to the core comic material in tone but great films.
