There’s Mic’d up, and then there’s this! We continue this incredible insight into the lives of Mahomes, Cousins and Mariota Throughout the 2022-2023 season.

Mahomes definitely has a case for the best player to come from Texas Tech though Hall of Fame linebacker Zach Thomas would also have to be up there. Robert Griffin III (RG3) was one of the most electrifying quarterbacks we’ve seen. He lit up the world at Baylor University en route to being awarded the Heisman Trophy. Washington traded up to #2 in 2012 to select Griffin much like how the Panthers traded up to get Bryce Young this year. RG3 had a tremendous rookie season but unfortunately suffered a knee injury in the playoffs that he never fully recovered from. I personally don’t label players who underperform due to injury “busts” but some might. Real shame how his career turned out but now he’s on the commentary side of things and I always enjoy listening to him. This was a great episode guys! I can’t say I was expecting a wasp attack or Damo’s surprisingly accurate Kermit the Frog impression 😂Looking forward to the next one!

Hardest division really is a tough question, because it changes so frequently. Some years ago, 2 actually, the NFC East was a joke. Now, imo, it has claimed top spot. Eagles, Cowboys, Giants and Commies are all great to solid teams that will play for the playoffs. One thing that's for sure is that the Southern Divisions are the weakest at the moment.

A little context on the play were Mariota fumbled. It wasn't a fake, it was an option play. On the option you put the ball in the Running Back's hands and read the reaction of the End. If he crashes down toward the line of scrimmage you let go and the Back keeps it. If he doesn't, you pull the ball back out and run yourself. Why is that important? Well, because the outcome of this handoff is never certain before the play, meaning QB and RB must be on the same page. If they're not, fumbles occur.

As a Chiefs fan, I wish I could claim the AFC West as the toughest division, but until the Raiders and Broncos can show they can play up to their individual talent levels and the Chargers stop choking every season, there are other divisions that are tougher to survive. The AFC North has the Bengals who are legit contenders as well as the Ravens and Steelers, who play everyone tough. Even the Browns shouldn’t be a slouch with Watson back full time at QB. The AFC East has the Bills (another legit contender), the Dolphins (who have a scary amount of talent if they can just keep their QB upright), and the Jets (who just added Aaron Rodgers to go with an emerging defense and a lot of young skilled players on offense). It’s amazing that the weakest looking team in the division is Bill Belichick’s team. But probably the toughest division is the NFC East. The Eagles are obviously the headline, but the Cowboys and Giants both made the playoffs last year and Washington has a strong defense and just brought in Eric Bienemy (Mahomes’s coordinator during the Super Bowl years) to run the offense. If the Washington offense can gel before it’s too late, that’s easily the worst gauntlet to get through.

I don’t see the reason why y’all just don’t watch them all when u want and post them later or post them all in one. Just some personal bias though because now I want to go binge all the episodes again but I gotta wait for you guys😂.

Great watch guys, even as a Chiefs fan, I still think Kirk Cousins is the star in this show. Dude is real.

Thank you, definitely picked 3 great role models for this series. Such a great series.

It’s a lot to do with time, we can only record twice a week and need to record for Patreon and YouTube so we can’t watch more than one at a time really!

when you were asking about the hawaiian flag, each us state has its own state flag

I believe Joe Burrow set the record for most Heisman votes in 2019

This season the toughest divisions in the NFL are probably the NFC & AFC East with the AFC North right behind them. AFC West with the Chiefs has been pretty competitive of late but the Raiders and Broncos are rebuilding. Chargers should be good but have a long history of self sabotage. KC should have an open path to winning the division again. All that said, one of the best things about the NFL is how much a team can either improve or fall apart from one season to the next. There will be at least a couple of teams in each conference that come out of nowhere and invalidate everything I just wrote.

Just now watching but Mahomes has an endorsement deal with Airshare, a private jet company based in Kansas and they gave him his own plane essentially as part of the deal.

41:50 "Seems like a lot of contact after the pass..." Dude... if Mahomes gets hit like Kirk gets hit, Chiefs would win games on penalties alone. Oh wait... they already do! In all seriousness though, many star quarterbacks get a lot of calls for late hits and what not. Kirk... is not afforded such luxuries.

Robert Griffin 3 or RG3 was phenomenal in college and really had amazing skill as a pro but got hurt due to a coach’s stupid decision to start him and not let him recover. He sadly lost his speed and was never the same. Worth a reaction for sure, almost like a bigger Lamar Jackson. Trust me his highlights will blow your mind how a guy so big is that agile and fast, he was state champion hurdler which for his size is crazy. https://youtu.be/NiUmcSmWmjc?si=h7NzCY2mM-PCpXVr

The guy talking about Josh Allen that pops up a lot in the series is Kyle Brandt, one of the hosts of Good Morning Football (a daily show on NFL Network). He can be polarizing: is a former soap star who played RB at Princeton. He can be a little highfalutin’ at times but he’s honestly pretty funny and knows a ton about football. I would definitely qualify him as on of the premiere talking heads in the NFL media and I really enjoy him.
