Trigon’s Point of View

I could feel it, the energy the lesser version of myself left inside this universe. He had children, offspring. I would have chuckled if I didn’t have complete control over my being. What a pathetic version of myself. I began to enlarge myself as making souls fear you before you eat them made them more delicious and a more valuable source of energy.

Halfway through my growth, a man appeared in front of me. As I tried to swat him away like a fly he teleported out of my reach. The interaction was only fractions of fractions of a second but it still showed that he could think at a speed that most couldn’t. The discerning in his eye led me to believe he might even think faster than me. That irritated me for some reason but I proceeded with the show.

This wasn’t the first time someone attempted to challenge me and stop me from devouring their planet. It was boring to just destroy them so I made a game out of giving a big speech and then fighting. “Good, it seems this Earth isn’t as undefended as it appeared at first. You have my thanks, for I crave a good bat-.” He spoke. “Going to cut you off there chief. You aren’t strong enough to fight me because I developed the perfect countermeasure for you.”

The man indicated to his hand which had what appeared to be a laser pointer. Even with complete control over my emotions, I couldn’t help but laugh. “You think a mere object can stop me? I’ve consumed countless worlds. What are the chances my weakness is a common cats toy.” He chuckled along with me before giving his rebuttal. “Yeah, about that.” Turning it on I knew something was wrong with it.

The second the beam of light that shot out touched me I felt it pierce into my body completely bypassing my defenses. My larger form only speeds up my death as it makes its way further into me. “I knew if multiversal threats were going to show up, there would most certainly be a true demon like yourself. I was weak when I killed the you in this universe so it was costly to kill you. This device only took me a few days to create once I became a god.”

The light unraveled my being like it was the antithesis of what I was. I couldn’t help but feel a new feeling for the first time in my life. Fear, I needed to run! I needed to get away! He forced the beam that was inside my chest down and the light almost cut me in half. Run! I needed to flee! The thought only crosses my mind as I’m cut into thousands of chunks. The man moving his hand so fast I can’t even respond. The light was so thick it looked to have a physical form to it.

I felt myself start to fade as the man spoke again. “That was… Anticlimactic, I hope the other versions of me have more fun than I did… Well, if you can still hear me know that I’ll make full use of your corpse so you won't go to waste… Ta ta, for now, I got to go make sure nothing unexpected happens.” With that, I fade out of existence. The multiversal demon Trigon had been defeated with a common cats toy.

Third-Person Point of View

Knull didn’t wait for anyone to appear. The second he appeared in this universe he began to expand and make a protective shell of symbiotes around himself. In one moment he was a normal human, the next he was a black writhing mass the size of a planet. The next moment that black mass had grown to ten times its size. In the next moment, it would burst and begin to spread it’s symbiotes throughout the universe and soon the symbiotes would return after consuming all the biomass in the universe.

A planet appeared from a pocket dimension as a similar being launched a planet's worth of its own symbiotes to face him. It was a foolish thought, Knull could subvert the person's control and take over the strengthened symbiotes and begin to learn how they were so different. The mass of black struck the waves of white. Every white symbiote had the strength of hundreds of black symbiotes but the black symbiotes were almost endless.

Several universes worth of creatures absorbed by Knull poured from him. Blackened fallen heroes came towards the white dragons, unicorns, and other magical creatures. The armies slammed into each other and the wave of black was pushed back, all except the truly strong of his army were while the truly strong like the symbiote Superman or Thor pushed into the white.

Thousands died on both sides every millisecond with millions already succumbing to their deaths since the battle started. A dragon a quarter the size of the planet breathed out fire scorching the mass of symbiotes all the way back to the black mass planet that surrounded Knull. Neither of the two leaders had shown themselves yet. Every attempt Knull made to take over the white symbiotes was thwarted. They were pure, no not just pure they were radiating divine energy.

Any black symbiote who had attempted to subsume a white symbiote began to burn from the inside out as the true difference in strength showed itself. The creatures that Knull had absorbed into his army were slowly being freed as the fight went on longer. It would still end in his favor, it would have just taken far longer than he’d have wanted and he’d have to burn through one or two universes worth of his symbiotes to finally win the fight against the white symbiote.

That was until two men appeared near the battlefield. One was the one controlling the symbiotes while another held something that screamed dangerous to Knull. He instinctively knew it could cause damage to his body if it touched him. The two twin men talked to themselves. “What took you so long?” The other looked mad. “Hey! You know how long it takes to uncorrupt a necrosword that has been strengthened by absorbing more than one necrosword? Yeah, I thought so…” He smirked. “You took a break to check out the other battlefields didn’t you?” The one with the white necrosword turned away as if he had been caught.

The giant scorched area of the symbiote planet was a quarter mile closer to the center where Knull was. After the two finished talking to each other both appeared inside the hole and Knull could feel the connection to the symbiotes sever with every swing of the purified swords. Knull was more bestial than human at that point, having absorbed so many animals that couldn’t think but could still survive he had a perfectly attuned danger sense.

It had begun ringing when the two talked and ever since then he had begun to try and flee from the multiverse. Every normal method he attempted was thwarted as all multiversal teleportation had become impossible at some point. He fled out of the symbiote planet, giving up control of them in an attempt to escape. It only bought him another second before he felt two swords pierce into his back draining his powers and making the weapons stronger in the process. They weren’t just killing him, they were turning his power into a weapon they could wield.
