Third-Person Point of View
Odin was a beast. This was the mythical Odin who the stories were based on except instead of letting Ragnarok happen he said fuck that and killed his children who would have spurned it on. The divinity he gained from all the universes he conquered made him a truly formidable opponent. In a slugfest, he could go blow for blow with any other multiversal entity, let alone against a few squishy pseudo-gods.
That was why what was happening didn’t make sense. The dozen or so perfect copies of the same person were toying with him. They couldn’t do any significant damage but by constantly harassing him they redirected his anger towards them and away from the planet. He even followed them into their own separate dimension which they had more control over than the universe they all began to attack together.
A knife tried to dig itself into his side but his divinity stopped it. The weapon was designed to kill gods, but Odin had gone beyond the level one could consider a god. If he had any utility or variation to his fighting style then the group would have had a much harder time keeping him distracted, but he didn’t. His attacks had no technique to them, they never needed it to kill his opponents.
Hundreds of universes all yielded to his strength. Only someone with a truly unique and varied skill set could thwart him so thoroughly. The voices heckled him as well as argued with themselves. “Wow, you have such skill with that spear… Compensating for anything? If he’s like the Odin in our world that’s a big ten 4 good buddy. If you didn’t understand what they are saying, they’re saying you have a small dick.”
“Enough!” Odin cleaved the dimension in half destroying it and pulling at the reality of the universe he was in. If the universe imploded it didn’t matter how strong the entities were, they’d be dusted like everything else in the universe. “Hey dipshit, you’re gonna fuck up the universe you’re in and kill all of us, that includes yourself, dumbass!” He swung his Mjolnir which had been reforged into an axe with enough strength to cleave reality. “I don’t care. If dying is what it takes to kill you then so be it!”
Since before the fighting even started there were about fifty versions of the person inside the universe holding it together and fixing the tears so they didn’t get worse. It was like repairing a blanket though, no matter how good you thought the repair was the universe would be weaker after being torn unless it was reinforced with a stronger material.
The threads of multiple different universe's fates were used to bind this particular universe together. That was why it was even possible for so many of these uber-powerful beings to step into a single universe without it instantaneously collapsing. It cut to one of the versions of the man wearing a foreman’s outfit as he talked to the One Above All and The Presence like he was bidding on a contract job for repairs. “You see here, right there’s your problem. The whole universe is falling apart right at the seams.”
He wiped his nose as both looked at him confused. Why was this man stopping them from interrupting the fighting that could possibly save the universe? “The whole universe is going to fall apart if we don’t fix this soon. That’s why I got my guys working on it right now. What we don’t need is two more shoddy contractors showing up and trying to do work and mucking up the whole thing, you understand what I’m saying?”
The two gods couldn’t help but feel insulted. This man was stopping them from interrupting the fights or attempting to fix the fabric of reality from tearing apart… Because they might ‘muck things up’? As they watched the clones of the man tie the universe together and make many changes so it was more resilient to falling apart they both couldn’t help but feel slighted. Sure, they hadn’t made a universe in a while but the changes in strengthening the universe were like someone looking over your homework and switching every single answer only for the changes he made to be better.
Cutting back to the fighting many of the clones had to sacrifice themselves to stop the universe from collapsing. One asks. “What the hell is taking him so long?” Another one answers. “I don’t know. Maybe he-.” As if them asking about him made him appear. “Sorry it took so long, it was hard getting everything ready.”
One of the other clones called out. “You got distracted fucking his wives didn’t you?” The one who put the plan into play turned away as if he had been caught. “Alright, what matters is it’s finally set up and we can end this.” Odin heard them talking the entire time. He couldn’t help but smirk. “Yes, because you’ve done so well up until this point. Whatever you have planned will fail just like the paltry attacks you’ve made against me so far.”
All of them couldn’t help but smirk at the same time. It would have looked erie or threatening to anyone else but Odin had already killed his son Loki in many universes and he often did something similar before attempting to trick him and it failing which ended in Loki’s death. “Everyone prepare! This is the final attack that will kill Odin!”
They all formed a singular line as they began channeling magic that was strong enough that even Odin could feel threatened by it. It wouldn’t kill him, but it would certainly chip away at his divine shield protecting him. He grabbed his spear with both hands and charged at them, which is exactly what they wanted him to do. As he began to push for the death of as many as he could impale in a single rush a portal opened up and led him right into the mouth of Fenrir.
Fenrir bit down with all the strength he could muster. It wouldn’t have been enough, but there was one thing on his side. Prophecy, Odin’s power came through divinity and worship. So a prophecy involving him which everyone agreed on would happen, would happen. Fenrir’s teeth ripped through his divinity, no Odin’s divinity actively helped the teeth pierce his flesh because that’s what his followers believed.
Just before he was consumed he felt his magical eye plucked from his head. “Sorry, a magical all-seeing eye is too important to end up as dogshit, so I’ll be taking it for the real body.” The clone had gone to his original universe and began arranging things so that the prophecy would play out. Loki was revived and fathered Fenrir as the clone provided the resources needed to strengthen Fenrir up to the peak of his power. It only took a few minutes but the clone did get distracted with Odin’s wives, which was why it took so long.
Even with the time dilation, he was still in a rush. One of the bigger threats to the universe was dealt with and with the strongest dead it took a large portion of the stress on the fraying universe off. It still had to be held together but more of the clones could head to other battlefields where they were needed. Each entity had come with some troops and just about one percent made it to Earth.
The 1% of the troops were enough to give the Earth the hardest battle they ever had to deal with. God butcher Thor, the dead children of Thanos, Darkseid’s Fatal Furies, a few million robotic duplicates of Ultron, several million black lantern ring wielders with that many black lantern rings flying to Earth to choose new wielders, tens of millions of symbiotes, and the Dark Knights of the Dark Multiverses all appeared and began to fight with the Justice League.
