I wasn’t immediately sent to the world I picked. Instead, another screen appeared that would allow me to pick some benefits for myself while allowing me to even pick my heritage. I could choose what my parents would be. The choices were world-related. I could get the powers I had in the hero world, but that wasn’t all that good compared to the other options.

The hero character was equivalent in strength to the hero from Dragon Quest. It meant I would be stronger than most, but in a world where tactical nukes get dropped on top of each other, being slightly stronger than an average shinobi didn’t seem all that impressive.

The inventory was also amazing for most worlds but extremely lackluster for the Narutoverse. There were storage scrolls; the inventory would give me a huge advantage on surprise, but then we get back to the biggest problem. The shinobi like Madara dropping nukes don’t care about surprise when they can just flip the board over immediately if they don’t like their hand.

The magic I had from the other world was sort of a jack of all trades. If I could launch gigantic fireballs on the same level as high-ranking ninjutsu, it might be tempting, but alas, I get a low-rank heal, a slight magical power boost, and normal-sized fireballs. The utility magic would provide plenty of quality of life, so I put a pin in it if there wasn’t a better option.

I rubbed my hands together metaphorically as I got to the good stuff. These were buffs that revolved around the world I was going into. Perfect chakra affinities, Indra reincarnation, Ashura reincarnation, Otsutsuki bloodline, perfect sage mode, five Kekkei Genkai, two Kekkei Tota, or a unique Kekkei Mora. Now… Those were some choices.

I immediately ruled out Indra and Ashura reincarnations. Picking either of them would steal the spotlight from either Naruto or Sasuke and there were just better things to choose out of the list over the powers they gain. Otsutsuki, being the next choice, the Otsutsuki bloodline was the same level as both the Indra and Ashura reincarnations put together. Even with that, I’d rather not pick it.

Otsutsuki tend to have white hair. I dig the white hair, but I didn’t want to step on Jiraya’s or Kakashi’s feet. The thing with hair is, the more unique mine, the more likely girls will notice it. If I have white hair, they might compare me to Kakashi. Perfect sage mode is strong, and having a unique energy source to rely on would let me stand out above the rest, except it was pretty obvious.

I needed a low-key power-up. If my eyes constantly changed color, Uncle Snake might take a liking to me and abduct me to his diddle party. That left the only real choice: picking the Kekkei Mora. Out of the choice between kekkei genkai, kekkei tota, and kekkei mora. Kekkei mora would be better, no matter what. Kekkei mora is the strongest power you can possibly be born with. It was equivalent to the Otsutsuki bloodline, except possibly even more powerful because it wouldn’t be diluted.

Every single special eye power, the sharingan, byakugan, and rinnegan, were all part of the Otsutsuki bloodline and Kaguya’s special kekkei mora… Or at least that was the case in the original world; who knew with this new one. The Otsutsuki might have been rarer than we were led to believe from Boruto, or at least I hoped so.

The world I’m being born in could have tons of fuckers running around with special kekkei mora, but once again, I doubted it. I would most likely have a weaker version than the one from Kaguya, but still stronger than almost everyone else, except for uber hax Madara with infinite chakra and a regenerating body. I metaphorically smirked in my head, thinking he might give up on Obito altogether and pick me for his revival instead if he figured out I had an even more special body than the young boy he chose.

And… If things played out perfectly, who knew if I wouldn’t be popping out a bunch of little half my bloodline half Otsutsuki babies if I played my cards right. Kaguya wasn’t my favorite, but the more, the merrier, I say… Honestly, the any, the merrier in my case. I picked Kekkei Mora, and the other options faded. in the process, I would also retain much weaker versions of the other world choices as well.

This was sort of overkill; the kekkei mora alone was enough, but I wasn’t going to judge the old god who decided I needed more on top of that. I would be born with a more healthy/robust body, have a small backpack-sized inventory, and I could choose a single magic to bring with me. Offensive magic was out right off the bat. A basic F-rank ninjutsu would match its output, so there was no reason to pick any of them. I was once again left with a choice that boiled down to my four most useful magical spells.

Low heal: It would allow me to moderately heal my own wounds or the injuries of an ally. This wasn’t as great as you’d think it was; it was a life-saving technique more than anything as the healing wasn’t that powerful, but it would save me from needing to learn medical ninjutsu.

Empower: Increases the physical and magical output of a person for an hour. Bread and butter spell I’d use before we went into any big fight on every single member of our party. The spell probably did more damage than I did myself if you added up how much bonus damage everyone was doing. The biggest problem was that I needed to know beforehand that we were heading into a big fight and it was loud and time-consuming. Something that didn’t really fit the ninja aesthetic. Could you imagine an empowered Madara meteor, though?

Barrier: Decreases the physical and magical damage we would take for an hour. Honestly, I would cast empower and barrier, then just attack with my sword for ninety percent of our fights. The spell itself probably tanked more damage than the warrior who turned paladin of the party ever did. I had no doubt that without the two spells, we’d have never managed to kill the demon king.

Meditation: It would allow me to recover my health, magic, and stamina rapidly. That spell hard carried my ass to beating the demon king. When in doubt, meditate. Infinitely regenerating was totally a thing in Naruto, but it was locked to Hashirama, who was the king of being OP offscreen and magical undead super-ninjas. Naruto and Tsunade had weaker demon fox regeneration and temporary sage type mitotic regeneration, and both of those were reasons their characters were OP.

Meditation was really the only choice that made sense. The other spells were amazing, but I didn’t know how they would work with chakra in my body. I could have both, but if magic was converted to chakra, there were better choices to use my chakra with. Regeneration was just too overpowered compared to the other spells, and even just the health and stamina recovery would make it the most useful.
