The fallout of the terrorist attack was only about one hundred ninja deaths and one thousand civilians, a relatively small amount compared to what could have happened. The damage dealt would take weeks, if not months, to recover from; that is a relatively short time compared to the real world. Ninjas using jutsu to fix problems were like cheating.

It took the council weeks to decide what was going to happen to me. Thankfully, many of their own members were running interference with the original plans. It wouldn’t come down to killing me, but my restrictions could have been heavily limited if the wrong people had their way. There wasn’t anyone like Danzo who would want me for his own plans, or Orochi who would want to experiment on me… At least, I hoped so.

The ruling came down that I would be watched, but not as closely as the real jinchuriki. Kushina had done some work downplaying how great my power truly was. She was the only one who truly knew what I was after all. I had all the good traits of a jinchuriki with none of the bad, I could rely on that energy inside me without the risk of going insane. I could regenerate; I even think I could form a small-tailed beast ball, which was just a much, much stronger Rasengan.

My fire chakra had also strengthened even more, it had more than purified. My fire attacks were no longer orange flames but yellow-white, with a hint of blue at the center. The creation of Ahri(the name she picked after going through my memories of my previous lives) meant that I gained the abilities that both the nine tails and seven tails would normally provide.

Compound eyes and blinding powder- I think I could even fly eventually by forming chakra wings, but it would take plenty of experimenting and training to pull it off. I even thought I could revive if slain like other tailed beasts… But that wasn’t something I was willing to test out, and it wouldn’t be a fast process. It was heavily dependent on how much of my energy was destroyed in my death; with a mostly intact body, I might be able to revive in just a few years.

Training fuinjutsu was extremely boring, it was no wonder fuinjutsu masters were so rare. The classes were a mixture of math and science, but the person also had to have a good foundation in art to even start making seals. It would be next to impossible to make a seal without the knowledge of how to, which just made it all the more impressive that someone figured out how.

“No, this line has to be perfectly straight; it’s both wavy and skewed to the left. Draw it again.” Kushina was a slave driver. My main body was learning fuinjutsu now, and I would do so for hours every day. I wanted to learn medic nin and support lessons, but with how burnt out I was from this fuinjutsu class, I no longer wanted to learn both, deciding that the support class was good enough.

Inside the Konoha Clan Council meeting…

The large group of delegates had been boiled down to their representatives. What could have been over fifty members was now five as they discussed the future of the boy. “I think we should keep him under surveillance. He could be a danger to himself and everyone around him, and we know nothing about his powers. It’s the only thing that makes sense.” One of the hawk faction Uchiha members spoke as he got the ball rolling on how the conversation would go.

There was arguing back and forth over who got to control the boy, but it ended with Tsumi, the closest thing to a Hokage, yelling as she banged her hand on the table. “Enough! You’re speaking of this child as if he were a commodity. Anyone who thinks they’re going to get another weapon for their faction is wrong. What we should do is put him on a leash for the village so he doesn’t leave.”

She had Shizune bring paperwork forward; that was what most of the council meetings boiled down to. “I have three separate choices for how we can go about this, but I’d recommend the soft approach. If his father wasn’t the faction leader for the Uzumaki, we might be having an entirely different conversation.” They all read through it before one of the dove factions spoke up.

“Out of these three choices… Only one of them seems to fit the outcome everyone would like the most.” Tsumi smirked as she explained. “Exactly. Everything else just doesn’t make sense. We can’t make him the next clan heir without Gin’s permission, and that won’t happen now. Gin’s put too much time and effort into his firstborn son’s training. It only makes sense that when he turns eighteen, he’s given his own clan to grow. That’s why I think we should also keep him in the elite class and surround him with women to ensure he doesn’t defect to a different village.”

The group all agreed with their plan, and now began the talks about which female shinobi would end up on his team as the backroom deals were made.

Two more years passed like that as I became more than proficient with making seals, scrolls, and tags. The support class wasn’t what I thought it would be. There were many specialized jutsu that would work in tandem with other jutsu to make them stronger. The 'cooperation jutsus' taught took up most of what we learned. It was like learning a wind or oil jutsu to pair with a fire jutsu partner to get more effect out of both jutsu.

It was also the class that taught new convenience jutsu. There were jutsus to help with cooking and cleaning, but they weren’t taught for a very long time because shinobi were mainly for conflict. It was only recently that support classes were added. Most of the civilians or poor clans graduated and became genin. They’d get to do F and D rank missions to improve their skills, while the more valuable ninja would be fully trained. Once we graduated in six years, we’d be made chunin automatically, whereas the genin would have to complete a certain number of missions and pass a test to become chunin.

The chunin exams in Naruto became the jonin exams in this world, almost similar in every way except that instead of mostly children taking part, it was shinobi who were adults. The elite class was also split in half, with the lower-ranking members being moved to their own class so the higher-ranking students could get more focus from the teachers.

It gave the people in the E-2 class a chip on their shoulder that they didn’t make it into the E-1 class. Some of the elites also flunked out and joined the genin, doing the lower-ranking missions. Most of the Might family was moved to the lower elite class; some who underperformed were also moved to genin squads instead of having the luxury of training.

Except for a single female member of the Might clan… Who was currently staring me down.
