An old man knelt in front of me, as I had already killed all his men on the boat he was traveling by. I couldn’t help but smirk at my luck. He must have heard the rebellion was winding down, so he came to show himself before it ended in hopes of getting rewarded. Too bad for him that my intervention sped things up even further than the original timeline.

“You won’t get away with this. The king will find out you killed the head of House Frey if you do this.” I could only laugh at him. “Are you serious? The king doesn’t even know his children aren’t his. How the fuck is he going to find out about your death while at sea with no other boats around but my own? You’re too old for anyone to care why you died.”

I didn’t spare him another sentence as I cut his head from his body and had my men tie it down with rocks before tossing him into the sea. With his death, the Frey House will tear itself apart in civil war. I’ll support both sides, weakening them further, and in the end, their territory won’t be very far from mine… Who knows who will own the Twins after the dust has settled?

We went ahead while the rest of my ships helped transfer the rest of the King’s army back for now. They’ll then go back and pick up the civilians and transfer them over to the bog where we’ll be working, taking many trips to do so. Over the next few months, more and more civilians showed up to begin the process of digging the bog to create the river I would be famous for in the future.

Truth be told, I could have funded this entire process myself, but hundreds of years from now, this river linking the North to the rest of Westeros would still be around, and I would have been the one who created it. It was hard, back-breaking, dangerous work. The casualty numbers were dozens every few weeks, and that was at the beginning, without the entire sixty thousand peasants working on it.

By the time everyone arrived, we needed to burn a pile of corpses every single day, and then Robert sent another forty thousand peasants from King’s Landing to help with the construction. It took the US ten years to build the Panama Canal, but they weren’t using slave labor; they needed to make sure it was large enough to fit ships going both ways, and they had to build it to a certain standard, whereas we did not.

The river was designed to help create traffic from the North to the South. One of the biggest problems was that the only method currently was with a Crannogman as a guide. Having the ability to follow the river or travel down it would cut the cost of travel tremendously, while lining my own pockets. Increasing the sowable land, while putting my own people on it, would also help once the war started.

The land could also be drained into the river, lessening the swamp areas, allowing more land to be farmed. I planned to plant fruit trees, sugarcane, rice, cranberries, and other high-end luxury animals, such as raising silk moths, bees, and mules. Mules weren’t sterile in this universe and could be bred to other horses or donkeys, depending on what they were needed for. Mules were the perfect point in between horses and donkeys.

Smarter than horses but not as hard to train as donkeys, they worked much better for transporting material or leading coaches than horses, and that was the niche I was aiming for with raising them. The gold sink of converting the land would be out of the range of most people, but I knew in the long run, I was creating a future revenue of wealth.

I was creating ten noble Houses that would be loyal to me, while the Starks, Lannisters, and Tullys only got three new Houses(each). My most loyal men were bastards from noble houses, and after seeing me reward them, they became even more loyal to me as my promise was proven true. This was only the start. I was the closest to the land as well, and who knew what would happen with these so-called new ‘loyal’ Houses to the ones they served.

It was still a five-year project, which would put the draining of the land and making it suitable for growing crops right on track for when the War of the Five Kings would take place. It wasn’t important enough for me to stay around and supervise, so after the first year, once everyone had learned the basics, I left to finish a few things before going to the capital.

I still had to throw another few wrenches into the game of thrones everyone was playing after all… In this world, there might not even be a war if I kept working against everyone else.

Genna Lannister was an older woman, 45. Almost too old to have children… Almost. It was a very open secret that she hated her husband, and just as secretly known was that her four children were most likely not his. A man who was only alive because he was the son of Walder Frey, killing him would mean war… But who would pay attention to that now that he was dead?

We had already devised a story. One last child from him before he died, during the process of making it. No one had to know that he was already dead. I snapped his neck earlier that day in the same bed I was fucking his wife in. It wasn’t difficult to convince her to go along with it after all, she hated her husband and viewed their relationship as a stain on the Lannister name, just as her brother Tywin did.

She was beautiful for her age. In a few years, she would start to balloon up in weight, the same as Robert, but right now, all the weight she put on went straight to her breasts. Possibly the biggest in all of Lannisport. I couldn’t wait to taste her, because doing so would also finish a quest. She wouldn’t be the last noble woman I bed and had raise my child while passing it off as someone else's, though.

Old cougars like her didn’t really need any warm-up when they had sex. She was dripping wet at the thought of sleeping with anyone else but her husband. She wanted to be treated like a whore, and who was I to go against her wishes? Pouring seed in her all night, I thought I’d have to wait to know for sure until my quest completed itself.
