Look at them all grown up! 🥹

As for the party in episode one, there was no alcohol for Sakuta. Sakuta is 19 years old (birthday in April), and the legal drinking age here is 20. The opening hints at a one year time skip (by saying “one year earlier” and then showing the ending of the last movie again), but it’s closer to a year and a half - March 2016 to September 2018.

Glad to see Bunny Girl Senpai S2 finally debuting on the channel! I couldn't agree more that it's really awesome seeing this time skip forward and transitioning to Uni, Kaede having a job and in high school. Futaba being a sensei since she's always been our smart girl. Kunimi got his fireman job he wanted. Nodoka/Zukki and Sweet Bullet are actually getting more traction, etc. Just great seeing the story progressed! Something I really appreciate that they made really clear early in this season is that the characters who have been through Puberty Syndrome actually behave and act like they've experienced it. While obviously Nodoka mentioning the "body swap" idea about Zukki is seemingly a bit of a red herring for us, the audience, it also just makes a lot of sense that she would speculate it to be something like this because that is HER understanding and experience of what Puberty Syndrome is. Similarly, when some random new college friend starts talking about "maybe only we can see that girl" Sakuta can't help but bring it up with Mai because it would be super funny (and weird) that it was brought up to him. I love that Mai "plays" at being jealous in response as well because while she knows he would never actually switch girls... it is literally their love story. You can kind of tell by the way Koga and Kaede act as well (though its a bit more subtle) that they have definitely taken something away from their own personal experiences. It used to feel like only Sakuta, Futaba, and Mai were "aware" of the syndrome after an arc ended sometimes. So for me this vibe is a really awesome improvement and makes it feel very real.
