Yui's first heartbreak 💔

Comments

1. Hiratsuka sensei isn't being let go. She is being transfered to another school, which is something that regularly happens for public servents in japan 2. This situation is nothing like Hachiman doing things on his own. Yukino is working with the student council. She is just not involving Hachiman and Yui. 3. The place where Yui is crying in the show had printed screenshots of her crying struck to that metal wall when i was there 4. Codependency isn't about getting help from others. It's about being so reliant on others help that are no longer capable of doing anything on your own, which, Yukino literally used Hachiman's word 1 to 1 when she talked to her sister on the phone last season. 5. How did you get the idea that the mom was the villain?

Noooo lol, codependency is a for of toxic relationship, i heavily recomend looking it up. It isnt just that you help each other out. Here is the google definition It is an emotional and behavioral condition that affects an individual's ability to have a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship. It is also known as “relationship addiction” because people with codependency often form or maintain relationships that are one-sided, emotionally destructive and/or abusive.

One instance of her mimicking Hachiman hardly shows she's become codependant. Hachiman's constant need to play the hero is also a form of codependency, but ultimately neither of them are actually the worst offenders within the the group.

Important to remember - Haruno has her own problems and is in NO WAY qualified to make remarks on Yukino/Yui/Hachiman’s relationship. She’s had very little interaction with the 3 of them and clearly has self-involved motives.

Ah yes... here we are. Haruno with her big "mic drop". You guys aren't "friends" or "a love triangle", your "co-dependant". Except... Haruno doesn't know what she's talking about. She just perceives a group of friends that actually look out for each other and assumes that makes Yukino "useless". Everything Yukino said about herself in this episode is what her sister (and the pressure of her Mom, which to be quite frank I think is being wrongfully villainized by Haruno's actions) CLAIMS their relationship is. Except... Haruno just THINKS she knows Yui and Hikki. When the reality is she doesn't understand a single inkling of their relationship. This proven further at the end of the episode when we see how hurt Yui is by him going to help Yukino instead of spending time with her. She pretends she knows what their relationship is and Hikki has a better idea of it than she does by a long shot. It frankly comes across as envy. Haruno is envious of the fact that Yukino, unlike her, actually has friends that will help her out any time she needs it unconditionally and without hesitation. To be clear - I have no proof that Haruno does not have that friend... but the only character who even remotely seems to be capable of filling that niche is Hayama and he doesn't really come across that way to me. Now, setting Haruno aside, we have for the first time Yukino's mother involved in the situation. Notice how the mother was diplomatic and was trying to find a middle ground that works for both parties? Sure, she's saying the prom is a bad thing from the perspective of the "Adult community", but she never actually said that the Prom should be cancelled. All she was saying is that it is being viewed negatively. The reality here is that the mother is presenting the problem as it is - a solveable one. As soon mama leaves though, Haruno immediately does everything she can to make Yukino feel like she's useless and codependant. The only thing Yukino is "codependant" of is Haruno's selfish opinions. So again... if Yukino would just learn that her sister's opinion isn't worth paying attention to... we'd be in a great spot. Haruno is the villiain. She's just hiding behind the "fear" that mama is the "bad guy" when in reality mom has done nothing wrong.

Yet she wants to act like she's some psychic who knows their thoughts, feelings, and emotions when she honestly barely even knows her sister at this point.

Dude, the show agrees with her to an extent, the 3 of them are stuck in limbo because they dont want to break the group, they relly on hiky to lie and avoid thd topic that would hurt. You see ghis on a monologe later. Why are you so sure their relationship is pure and has no tixic traits of dependence, the problwm is the desicion they take to mend it is worse, a fake.
