I see. Ke Yin's reaction makes it seem like this person is much more important to him than he is. I also find it difficult to believe that Ke Yin remembers both his face and his name after only seeing him for what amounts to maybe a few minutes at most.

It was a memorable moment, even in the beginning of this chapter before they enter the Way Station, he thinks about it. Also, cultivators are enhanced, their memories are not normal

Finally formations. One my comment a while back was for this. If he can make a gathering array (to gather ambient nature QI) and a transformation array (convert into Red and Blue sun energy from natural QI). Or even a formation for fission reactor to combine the suns power to make a greater and pure energy Purple (Celestial QI)

I know there’s a lot of chapters ahead of this so maybe it’s been addressed, but if Ke Yin wanted to make money shouldn’t he first check to see if the original left any skills in tailoring behind? He could be creating cultivator swag making bank!
