For now he’s just vibing by hanging out with his old friends, one of whom betrayed him in the future, one of whom he was in love with and the last guy is comic relief best friend. He’s also using opportunities that other people will normally find and brag about in the future

Chu feng is one on the xanxia tropes, that the other incel wanna is hunting down. So either transmigration, from the future, should fusion obtained old legacy but one of those tropes only differences he probably hides his uniqueness for many reasons. So his another MC prototype

Ideas so far are, from the future, he got saved by friends, and was gotten by the protagonist collector. His origins are a mystery, that is a clue and also foreshadowing. This rules out protagonist collector as that doesn't include a mysterious background. Being protected by something or the future makes sense for that to be later revealed for why he is here and faking his shyness.

Chu Feng suffered a fatal wound, died and is now also a transmigrator with fragmented memories like our MC. It is why he took so long to recover in the caves was because he was having a multi life crisis, which explains why he can't recall his upbringing and quickly changed the topic

I think he was taken by the collector in the future, but used something to send himself back in time to escape. He’s now trying to build up without showing any hints of being a protagonist so that the collector won’t hunt him down while he’s still weak. Mainly because I don’t think he really showed any traits that would make the collector want him yet, so I don’t think he was taken and replaced during that 3 day gap. Probably just the event that started him being a protagonist in his first time around.

When Chu Feng was injured he was saved by a merchant family and nursed back to health with mortal medicine, hence why it took so long. Now he works with that merchant family to “accidentally” destroy rival businesses with overly flashy moves. I.e. a warehouse, a merchant caravan and a spiritual herb garden and possibly a shop in that building he knocked over into 2-3 other buildings.
