Go on lad. You can face down hordes of beasts! You can definitely stand on a stage and do the public speaking thing 👍👍 TFTC!

I won't lie I there is a reason why parents in the stories usually dead I dislike when the main character is being controlled it's supposed to be a journey of discovery of wonder exploration from moral obligations is nothing wrong to have a parent in the story but it's really hard to tell about it protagonist has the second chance in life just wanted to say this and sorry about my writing I cannot really put my thoughts into words

Jacob Goodrich

Im loving this slice of life piece. It's something that really connects the reborn Ke to his parents and shows that he does come from humble beginnings and gives a legit process to what he truly is cultivating for. I 5hink this is going to tie very well into learning the further pieces of the World Tree Sutra and having his ancestor to draw on is going to be a new angle

Jacob Goodrich

See i don't see it as being controlled i see it as a parent actually acting like they do in real life. Not a control thing but just a mother trying to do the best she can for her kid. I also see it as a grounding time for him and also I think this is going to play in how he advances his cultivation technique of the World Tree Sutra

Phoenixdrop

You know when he finally reaches the stage of cultivation that his inner world starts being able to actually support life its going to be very interesting as that is a lot of responsibility he’s going to be taking on for himself and if he really does end up making the early stages of life while still in Qi condensation who knows how that will effect his cultivation I can already make a guess that civilization realm is when you start getting actually sentient forms of life that can cultivate so I imagine that at the life realm you probably start by getting single cell organisms then plant and animals as you slowly advance through the stages until you start forming the embryo of a sentient life form until you eventually make something that can fully hold a soul and that is when you breakthrough to civilization so again I can’t wait to see how him getting life early is going to effect things after the blue sun arc

Yanni

It’s often the simpler things that are the hardest to do. Facing a beast wave, doable. Facing a civilisation realm ancestor, manageable. But giving a speech to everyone who has known you since before becoming an immortal cultivator, utterly terrifying.

John 'the Flud' Douglas, Deadlock Pakistan Wrestling Worlds Champion

I get what you mean. I don't think Ke Yin has gotten to this point and hopefully it never does but its clear that he has trouble establishing boundaries with his parents. Nothing wrong with caring for them, of course, and the way there's huge plot markers around his unborn sibling means his family will probably remain extremely relevant to the story but at some point he'll have to (hopefully gently) tell his parents that he gets to dictate his own life.

Jacob Goodrich

If you look at his "master" who had a breakthrough into the life master realm and how it was all little things requiring his attention

FlawlessMovement

Eh, I disagree. this is a good example of real life. They don’t “control” him they care for him. Honestly their relationship is near perfect and I find it weird that people don’t like it. What do people want? A murder hobo that doesn’t care about people?

Modestas Velnias

let me ask you this how many garbage cultivation novels do the same thing caring about one's parents responsibility and so on when you read so much it gets boring and dull and plus is not logical if I have a enemy and they know where my parents live better forget them then be heard by that so many stories do that sort of stories telling
