Damn, I would really like to see Ke Yin get into a romantic relationship. Not with a normal person, but with another cultivator would be awesome, I love a good romantic sub-plot

Seconded I got on this book because one of his adds on Royal road had “jade beauty in chapter 16” or something and the synopsis said no harem. Then I read it in full and instead of a nice romance sub plot, it’s just one of those forever alone things. I call shenanigans! False advertising!

I hope he learned to communicate his boundaries, from this mother-son conversation we could see that he doesn’t have that skill to say even things like, he would live far beyond his partner, and the pov is gonna be so different.

Or maybe he’s just like this with his parent, but from the novel so far he doesn’t really set it and always uncomfortable with it Not to say parents shouldn’t tease their kids a bit, but it reminds me of MC’s character that could be improved
