Honestly with his plant manipulation he'll have far more time to use sculpting however calligraphy would match well with Azures help and his formations. He'll probably do painting because the aforementioned formation studies but none of what they showed him was practical a rabbit, a bird construct, a flower well the shield is pretty practical but quickly sculpting a sword of light, a pagoda written into being while in the wilderness and a painting of the blue sun to push back the reds energy would all be cool showings of power.

Every single one except song would be helpful to him although just like his cultivation method he mat very well make something better/more unique when combining with the journal and then he'll be ready to join the rumble for the sect mission as well as probably find an hidden thing

Tftc, painting should be the obvious choice here. The ability to have a real forest in ur backpack (painting), is insane for a wood cultivator. Even if it is not as good in the early stages, the versatility should makes up for it. Already hyped for tomorrow's chapter

If one can prep by making sculptures ahead of time why can't a Blue Sun practitioner write a big book of words & phrases ahead of time too? They could then just activate what is are needed as needed and eliminate the time required to write complex ideas during combat.

It's important to start small from their perspective, this is some newbie with unknown talents and Saint level resonance. You create a frame of reference to build up from to understand what you're likely to be capable of early on, you don't start with big works in part because of the energy and time constraints also.

True, but to my understanding the painting can be prepared way before the fight, which makes ist more energy efficient? And while all achieve the same, painting can incorporate the other methods to a degree (sculpting for long lasting effects/prepared before, song no idea, writing for precision), resulting in broder Applikation. Correct me if I'm stupid

I still think a simple practical tools would have been more helpful than creating life but I understand why the would do it this way as it also feeds into their propaganda we are the group of life, we create while the heritics only destroy.

Like a mage and their grimoire of spells. My guess is that unless you have a way to find the page and sentence you need instantly in the middle of combat, then it’s much more viable to just to do it the normal way instead of leafing through an entire book trying to find the right sentence.

Honestly I see him trying to eventually combine them all but he might just start by going with trying to combine painting writing and sculpting once he has some musical talent under his belt then he might look into song but that definitely won’t be happening now so I feel he will probably be trying for a combination of the three other than song because he has a full on system ai and formation expertise to pull from to help him pull it off and he definitely wants the strongest possible vain for when he makes one in the cultivation world

Painting would be the best because he can combine that with formation tech. Since he can loop he can learn more on each loop and outside of them as well. I wonder if that is what yggy is a song creation. Also these tech are literally that soul realm just as different paths.

Before hearing the descriptions I would have said Caligraphy, since it seems like it’d work with formations. However, it sounds like Painting can easily be combined with Caligraphy/Runes, so that seems like her easy choice.

It sounds like Painting is by far the easiest to combine with runes, so he should definitely choose that. A huge possible risk/reward factor is gonna be Kal though. If he gets chosen as the *and* chooses Painting then he’ll probably get Kal as his mentor. That might be the best possibility for the world though, cause he could connect Kal, his red sun mentor, and Laeyla if Kal is a reasonable person. They have all exhibited an interest in combining Red and Blue Sun energy, but just haven’t had the right connection to be able to trust one another!

Yeah, Painting seems the obvious choice since it is versatile enough to be combined with Caligraphy. If it can be combined with Caligraphy, then there is no reason it shouldn’t be able to be combined with Runes 🤷‍♂️ Choosing Painting would also increase the chances that he gets to know Kal. If Kal is reasonable, then he can eventually connect him with his Red Sun Mentor. Then throughout the loops Kal/Plant Bro/Laeyla can try and solve the foreign mind invasion thing!

How wouldn’t song be useful you can fight while singing. Imagine it being able keep a constant pressure on your enemy in close combat while singing up a powerful attack or countering on the fly. It would put even more pressure if Mc manipulated plant life as well as using close combat and singing all simultaneously. On that note there is probably Red sun runes that can change your vocal cords allowing vocalising in a wholly unique. Add Yiggy into to the equation and it becomes overwhelming to deal with Mc while fighting in the same tier.

Even song would be useful, if he could actually sing. The biggest advantage of his world spirit/world tree is that he can learn a bunch of different kinds of magic. Singing is different enough from his other talents that he can do it while drawing runes or manipulating leaves. It also gives him area of attack abilities.

I do agree Yggy is probably partially a song creation. Didn’t we see his old master singing to Yggy in the beginning of this loop? If so, his master probably took an existing plant, altered it with runes, and then used song to infuse it with sentience!
