Well hello parents can’t wait to figure out which one is their son

...the traits of these 2 are the traits Ke exhibits along

Ekko

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have no idea who's parents they are gonna be. For Ke Yin it would be a lifting of his status, but still with a loving family. While for Wu Kangming it would be a similar Status to his origins, but with actually loving parents....difficult

Honestly, nothing about this cultivation system feels new. It feels like the exact same structure we've had for every single other one. They're all variations on the same theme. I'm not sure if that's due to lack of imagination on the author, or the underlying reason that they're all derived from true qi, but it makes it feel... I dunno. Thin? Repetitive?

GloinJr

Well that's the whole idea. You use qi, you get strong enough, you make a unique form of Qi for your inner world that aligns better with your path (although is generally weaker than real qi). It's internally consistent so if it's boring to you, you probably just don't like the basic idea of it. After all, the only energy sources that deviate from this pattern are those that come from other worlds and are thus of the same echelon as qi. All internal world energies are derivatives of qi. As an analogy, you can think of Qi as gasoline. Depending on how much you have and what you use it to fuel, you can create a variety of effects. Inner world energies however are like specialized machines. One world could force everyone to only use engines, another could force everyone to use furnaces, etc. it's a specialization of the basal energy to better suit a task

I really enjoyed this chapter! Probably one of my top ten favourite chapters of the series.

Grappleshot

Darn, I was hoping one of them might be the others wife or something.
