red herring too obvious, I think more humble beginning fits our mc better. But who knows.

Dont look at the obvious hints that are clearly red herrings, look at the end of the chapter when it says nature vs nutrue. Mc came from a loving family vs wu came from a family that used him as a pawn. Would Wu acted the same if he was raised in loving family or would Mc still be a righteous person if his family didnt riased him to be caring. So i just look at the up bringings and see if it shapes the characters into new people or they would stay true to their core ideals
