Ke yin because of his obsession with learning

TravelerOfWorlds

I think Ke Yin and Wu Kangming had their spiritual essence mixed together. How else would Tian have perspective from both contestants. Plus the behavior patterns seem to be a mixture of both.

It’s got to be Ke yin but on a different note WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH HIS SHADOW and also good to see that even with starvation at his back he only stole from those who would just be annoyed by it and only took what he needed probably some of that positive karma coming through with how his dreams gave him some help with surviving he’s absolutely a good person down to the core but yeah while obviously this would be nowhere near enough to even dent his karma I am hoping that it didn’t effect it at all seeing as he only took what he had to and never took from anyone poor but it probably gave him some negative karma even if it’s nothing compared with his positive but man seeing as karma got confirmed real and is set up as essentially the thing that makes protagonists and acts as their plot armor I’m just constantly thinking about how his karma is effected

Anyone else catch that Kangwei is Hou, Tian’s friend that sacrificed himself? And Master Jian is their master? Was wondering why they were so close as friends and whatnot, but now we see they became friends and crossed paths only to be torn apart because of Hou’s sacrifice

I'll admit i think I was wrong with the other one being ke, as this kinda hitting the confusion muscle

It’s going to be super fun to watch Hou survive after the fall

Yeah, this is Ke Yin. Wood centered thinking, willingness to sacrifice themself, Intelligence and a great desire to learn, and willing to make social connection. Tian is Wu, quiet and reserved, doesn't make the first move towards connection, familiar with the sword. Meta reasons: why would author show Ke Yin first if he wants us to guess? Also this arc is supposed to be Nature vs Nuture, and it's pretty hard to make an argument either way if their pasts are similar, and Tian has loving parents while Xu/Hou lost pretty much everything and had to fight for scraps.

Karma would be taking hits as payment for giving him opportunities only if his actions are hurting people. If no one is harmed it's just a neutral consequence.

Endgame

I don't remember ever learning what elements Wu Kangming specialized in before he was crippled by that asshole in the sect. Could he have specialized in the wood element as well?
