I hope she didn’t betray them. There’s been enough betrayal in the story already, it would be nice to see things be positive for once.

I don't think she betrayed them, she wouldn't survive their retribution. She literally watched them kill a Dreamgod, and come back from death multiple times knowing they can't die until they fight each other. Like, sure son dreams all that but she wouldn't live long enough to get away with it.

What if she chose neither? it seems the lotus probably wouldn't help her. What if she instead asked for her son's soul as it was right before or right after he died, put into a clone body, or an alternative timeline in which he didn't die
