It’s pretty obviously Xie- not only is she the only native amongst them, but the other two will have to leave after their fight. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to pick a master that’ll be gone in less than a week lol.

Xie ling is the only one that makes sense, she is the only actual native to the world, the other two are going to leave, plus she honestly needs some sort of win at this point for all her struggles

Xie Ling seems the obvious choice as she is actual of this realm and won’t go away in a bit. However, inner worlds typically have a master not of the realm….so maybe then spirit prefers one of the others . Assuming the spirit is aware of everything, I could see our MC being picked as he has demonstrated the desire and ability to help other realms

Definitely the mother. She would’ve had everything, but chose morality over her greed and temptation.

He's definitely choosing Xie Ling. Not only is she the only true native of the dream realm in the trio she's also proven to be trustworthy. The spirit wouldn't have much of a reason to choose any of the disciples since he knows they are about to leave and on top of that he should be aware that they can't really take over the dream realm due to it's complexity. Only good reason he would have to choose one of them is Ke Yin if sleepy was aware of his Cultivation of the world tree sutra and whatever as of yet hidden benefit of annexation.

The only argument I can find for it not being Xie Ling would be that both Ke Yin and Wu Kangming are cultivators from the Main world, which could lead to Sleepy hoping they'll grow capable of absorbing/annexing the Dream World, allowing it to grow once more, leaving behind the stagnation that arrived since Azure Peak captured the world. If that is not a hope/concern, its gotta be Xie Ling.

I have to agree. Xie Ling's choice was much harder than Wu and Ke, and she showed that she wasn't willing to bend her own personal rules over her desire to see her son alive again. For a mother to choose that...that took balls the size of Texas and a will of solid titanium. Honestly? I don't think I could make the same choice if I were in her shoes.

I dont really think Ke Yin needs absolute control over a world in order to benefit from it. The tree seems like it would connect and annex worlds without devouring them at least at the cultivation level Ke Yin is currently at. I could see pretty much anyone getting control of the dreamworld and Ke Yin still getting the full benefits as long as he's got a connection to this world in the long run. I'm thinking Xie Ling

I also think it'll be Xie Ling, but my only argument for Ke Yin would be that he's already connected the world to his Inner World persistently, and he displayed the Realm Stabilizing Tree, and Sleepy may even remember the World Tree Sutra from when the world was seized to begin with. But that last one is also an argument that he'd never in a million years choose the cultivator who's similar to the one that colonized his world.

I think its important to note that I don't think it will be Ke Yin or Wu running it even if they did get it, instead it would be Hou or Tian as even though they have the memories they are native beings of the realm nonetheless as long as they dont take back their wisp. Hou has the gateway to Ke Yin's inner realm so that makes since for Hou and indirectly Ke Yin to be running it. But Tian also has an entire dam prophecy just for this...but I do like Xie Ling getting it more otherwise what's the narrative point for her surviving with them.

I think Tian. Hou's body is wrecked by Ke Yin's hand doing tree stuff to it, Xie Ling is probably capped in potential at this point.

I would like Ke Yin to get it, but I feel that Xie Ling is the right choice, more fitting both plot-wise and emotionally, and at the same time also symbolic, a mother losing her child, enveloping the whole world with her motherly love after her ascension, trying to raise the world in the same way as she raised her child when it was still alive.

Xie Ling - to becomd the mother of the realm. She's not going to get much further in her cultivation without resources, so being capped at Dreamgod to become mother of the realm I think.

Well it literally can't be ke yin because sect master told him no annexing inner worlds. Depending if Tian will be left behind when they both (ke yin and wu kangming) leave it could be possible. But honestly if it is Xie Ling then I don't know what the purpose of the cliffhanger was for. But that's just me expressing my opinion, not something you have to take in deeply.

Most likely Xie Ling because she won’t break her morals and she knows the truth and that still didn’t break her.

Gonna be Xie Ling, but obviously hoping for it to be Ke Yin since he has the most to gain and the most to offer
