oooh fascinating stuff, tomorrow's is gonna be a great way to kick off the new year

Phoenixdrop

Oh fuck well that’s definitely a proper test for someone who’s entire cultivation is about connecting with countless worlds and integrating all those different powers together but yeah let’s see how this goes because this is absolutely going to be something

BigBro Bluesman

Shit are we about to see some cosmic horror in a cultivation story?? Hell yes let see otherworldly incomprehensible being that would fry a normal person by simply looking at them!

Summer Coff

Kobolds. Three at a time, in very particular formations.

Dominic French

Do tribulations not happen to cultivators in sub realms?

Aidan Coleman

My prediction is dying civ realm world of a worldwalker raiding to survive

"Hey folks. Need a place to crash? I got this lovely southeastern section of my world just waiting for new tenants. Very reasonable rent, I promise. You guys do have cash, right?"

Fréderic Van Audenhove

Will Ke Yin use all the diffrent energies to deal with different enemies as each has a diffrent weakness?

Coorsbie

With his Karma…. I think it is going to be a refugee humanitarian crisis, and will be seeding his inner world with sapient life. The challenge will be managing it.

We already have a lot of other worlds woven into the narrative. Adding another new world and cast of characters/power system to the mix would be challenging, unless they are narratively important in another fashion. Given that this is supposed to be beatable by a Elemental Stage cultivator, this can't be an invasion from a normal Life or Civilization Realm inner world; he would lose immediately. To me, that means the only options left are either refugees or survivors from a failing world, limited in power by the dying realm they are escaping from, or the other option--the other side of the cultivation coin that is usually present yet has not shown up in this story yet: demons. Not Demonic Cultivators, but actual demons. Ultimately, all cultivators, including Demonic Cultivators, are still creators. They make worlds. True Demons would be consumers. They raid, despoil, and destroy worlds. Thus far, unless I've missed mention of them, they have not shown up in this universe yet (in any of them worlds he's visited), unless the force that is corrupting Two Suns and other worlds is just a really advanced Demon/Demons (which actually makes sense, really). Thoughts?

Aidan Coleman

It could also be hostiles from a dying world. Not necessarily refugees. Additionally this tribulation is going to be far more dangerous than a normal elemental one

Szoppa

adding divine calligraphy and maybe just divine energy and maybe the energy of the beings from the portal could actually be a great opportunity.

Emerson Propst

My guess is that he's finally merging with the rouqi world and the "invaders" are going to be people from there

Andrew P

It'd be funny if he managed the invasion by showing them his cultivation buildings and inviting them to move in

Joyeus

I’m betting they are the last inhabitants of dying worlds. They’ll most likely be some like the little fish, able to survive on pure essences, or the fruits he’s been cultivating, that he can give a home to. He’ll need to shift around the environment to better accommodate them and separate them before they start fighting over the first bits of food the find and destroying the place. I doubt there will be any sentient being among them. But a small community might be cool.

Dan Isl

Sounds great. Just don't drag it out please
