More progress on the Donut Media SVX: a tire rack! And this gives you a taste of the wheel/tire combo that’s going to be on the car when it’s done. Should look rad!

Looks like you've got the rack welded directly to the roof. How strong is the roof. I've always seen the commercially available roof racks bolted to the edges of the roof, wouldn't that be stronger, and wouldn't that be important given the weight it's gonna carry (that tire looks heavy, plus whatever else may go up there...)?

It’s welded directly to the roof, but it has plates that distribute the load so it’s welded over a larger surface area. Plus it’s welded to the quarter panel. Pretty sure it’ll be plenty strong
