Thank you.

The last five chapters or so have basically only been rambling about aeons musings and thoughts. While this might be important it has become very tedious. It would be painful to see the story take a background to political shinanigans .

Lol, it's true. Truly long term thinkers are rare among humanity, and they're often seen as excessive worry warts

I feel like Aeon is thinking too much like a human in terms of his diplomatic means. I mean he is a tree. It's like he is trying to indirectly form diplomatic relationships (i.e marriage and such) with them through his nation like any normal king or human would do since they cannot be everywhere at once. But he literally can have a direct relationship with all of the rulers at once. He could plop down a tree or two in each kingdom in a nice awesome courtyard and have the king's do their like Ned Stark brooding under them when they need advice or something to talk to. If it's too much he could make a diplomacy tree mind to take care of all of the conversations. But overall it would probably work better if they just saw Aeon as a quiet listening tree that they could talk around and get smatterings of advice from time to time. It would also normalize aeon and make him seem less imposing if they talked through satellite trees.

invisible demons

It's following a pretty typical Kingdom building path though. 1. Get personal power in order to hold claim over an area 2. Build infrastructure and raise personnel to grow your territory 3. Once your territory is firmly established, bring other territories under your influence if not direct control He's such a high level that leveling can't be a source or real progress, he's amassed enough power that it'd be a bit unbelievable for him to be constantly under threat, and he's expanded enough that the nitty-gritty of infrastructure like we used to get would be impossibly tedious. So that leaves us with political intrigue until the next Demon King shows up and even then it's going to be more political/strategical in nature since he's a nation now and not a direct combatant. I think what's lacking is true character interactions at the moment as the last hero gang left a fairly large hole in the story after they died. Pretty much every other named character has kinda settled into the background and Aeon just reads minds whenever he needs to know something. I think he needs a few envoys from powerful nations that he can't just mind read and has to form a personal connection to interact with.

My guess is no demons except one INSANELY powerful Demon King

Loving seeing Aeon’s thoughts, it feels very tree-ish. I wonder if this round of demons will consist of invisible tempters, rather then blatant combat forces! Here’s hoping!

imo thats a pretty good idea, only problem is getting everyone to buy into it BUT that might not be much of a problem if the demon invasion is one of the worse ones that reshape all the kingdoms if that happens treetree can just get the freshlands to vouch for him and if anyone asks about before just be like 'idunnowhatyouaretalkinbout'

Is it that Ghost-y kinda Demon King that got top vote some time last year but didn't appear?

Not going to lie. To many diplomatic heavy chapters in a row make me lose interest.
