It would make more sense for her to find runes on the Inquisition. Melchior is something of an ally; Hecate has so far resisted outright stealing from allies.

Agreed. If Melchior wanted to reward her, rather than Hecate finding his stash, I would have voted for her to have them, but taking them doesn't sit right with me, unless it's spoils of victory.

That runeword that has the 'dodge the first attack every 6 hours' effect could pretty succinctly be a good reason for her poor initial opening in the last encounter. I'd definitely be wearing a set to get that bonus. Runewords can come in time, there's still a dungeon and the other blood quest that might have things, or a meet-up after with melc.
