Jake wouldn’t say he was that experienced in dealing with healers. Usually, when he did encounter one, they were part of larger parties and significantly weaker than him as an individual. This allowed Jake to focus and kill the healer rather quickly before dealing with the rest of the party.

Thinking back, the only time Jake had ever “fought” a healer in a one-versus-one scenario was when he faced off against Eron in the Treasure Hunt. Seeing as Eron was a living cheat who was functionally impossible to kill, forcing Jake to instead seal him, he couldn’t exactly rely on his experience from back then.

Though, to be clear, Jake didn’t believe Yrelstromoz was that dedicated a healer. She was just a dragon from the Lumenflight who knew a bit of light-based healing magic, but he didn’t get the feeling it was her focus. In fact, very rarely would a True Dragon from the Lumenflight dedicate themselves to being the best healers possible, as healers tended to only work well in larger groups, and True Dragons were inherently arrogant and individualistic. Going by Yrelstromoz’s personality, Jake couldn’t see a world where she had selflessly learned how to mend those around her.

No, Jake instead guessed her healing magic was limited mostly to healing herself and likely not something she could do very efficiently. Moreover, now that she had taken the form of a True Dragon, Jake felt the lingering Dragonsbane Poison finally awaken and start to take root. It had yet to fully activate due to lack of accumulation, but once he had inflicted a lot, any magic–healing included–would become a double-edged sword.

“It does make sense, I guess,” Yrelstromoz spoke again, Jake still feeling the lingering healing magic mend a few of the last wounds left over from when she was in humanoid form. On that note, wounds didn’t translate one-to-one, and any damage done to her humanoid form would be way less noticeable once she assumed her true form.

“What other peak C-grade could possibly push a True Dragon to undo their Polymorph but a Chosen hailed as one of the greatest geniuses in the history of the multiverse?” she continued, Jake genuinely unsure if she was praising him or herself.

He also saw no need to correct her wrong assumption about his level, seeing as he wasn’t quite peak C-grade yet.

“Even then, you remain a C-grade. No matter how powerful you may be, your grade limits you. Perhaps you can slaughter inferior B-grades with ease, but do you truly believe I couldn’t when I was at your level? My only guess is that the Malefic One seeks to teach you a lesson about just how powerful we True Dragons are, and who am I to reject such a request?”

Yrelstromoz’s arrogance seemed to have only grown after she assumed her True Dragon form, but compared to before, Jake found it way less offensive as she did actually have the aura to back it up. It was still hubris that Jake would gladly take advantage of, but he knew it wouldn’t be a one-sided affair anymore.

“Then please, teach me the folly of my ways… or be the prey that marks me a dragonslayer,” Jake answered, infusing his own voice with Willpower as he met arrogance with arrogance.

His words marked the beginning of the second stage of the fight. In the blink of an eye, the air was filled with golden orbs of light, and Jake retreated back as arcane energy erupted from his body as he drew his bow.

More than a hundred beams shot at Jake at once, but he responded by summoning his Wings of the Malefic Viper and using them to block and dodge as he bought himself time to charge an arrow for a little while.

Not finding immediate success, Yrelstromoz upped the ante. The two curved ivory horns on her head began to glow as mana spiked once more, a magic circle about the size of a small town forming in the sky.

It pulsed once immediately, sending down a shockwave of light with physical force. Jake was forced to release his Arcane Powershot and address the attack. He instantly raised two hands and summoned an arcane barrier above himself to hopefully block the blow.

The barrier was instantly broken, but Jake managed to nullify most of the attack. Still, Jake was sent flying downwards from the impact of the mass-scale magic. All around him, the shockwave continued downwards, smashing into the ground and flattening the slight curvature on a large part of the crater.

There were only two places the shockwave had been nullified: at Jake and where his arrow had been in mid-flight. The destructive arcane energy enveloping it, alongside the concepts of Penetrating Arrow and Unblemished Arrows that were both infused into the blow, allowed it to shake off the shockwave and continue its flight mostly unimpeded as it soon reached its target.

Jake feared he would see his attack stopped in some way or fail to do any noticeable damage, but it seemed that he had underestimated his own offensive prowess. Yrelstromoz looked like she had believed her large spell would stop the arrow, and when it failed, her hastily constructed barrier did little to help as Jake’s Arcane Powershot blasted straight through and into her side.

The level of satisfaction Jake felt as he saw Yrelstromoz get blasted to the side on impact was nearly indescribable. It only got better when he felt a nice dose of Dragonsbane Poison make its way into her system through the newly formed hole in her body.

However, as the dust cleared, Jake realized that despite the impact looking impressive and causing her to slide several kilometers across the ground, the visible damage was minimal. The arrow had penetrated through her scales, but the arcane explosion and remnant energies from the Arcane Powershot had failed to get past the True Dragon’s ludicrous innate magic resistance.

Before Jake could follow up with another arrow, he was reminded that the many orbs of light were still a thing as he was bombarded with searing beams. Individually, they did little and were easily blocked, but Jake noticed that if several beams struck him in the same spot simultaneously, the damage was significantly amplified. Some powerful concepts were undoubtedly at play, as it couldn’t be explained by anything else that made sense to him.

This meant Jake was forced to focus on dodging rather than blocking, as he’d learned about this property of the light beam the hard way when one of his wings was pierced straight through, and he’d nearly lost an ear to his failed attempt to block several dozen beams at once.

Not wanting to entirely lose his momentum, Jake took what potshots he could while dodging the many beams, finding solace in the fact that Yrelstromoz was burning through mana like there was no tomorrow. Sure, he was running Arcane Awakening at full power, which did put him on a timer, but he felt that the dragon had been doing the same thing right from the moment he triggered her life-saving skill at the start of the fight.

Jake’s Arcane Powershot before seemed to have quite a psychological effect on Yrelstromoz as she dedicated a lot of energy and time to blocking all of Jake’s arrows, giving him space to shoot even more. To make matters worse for her, Jake’s arrows were not exactly easy to avoid, as they were incredibly fast and he loved to curve them all over the place. Seeing as the body of a True Dragon wasn’t exactly on the smaller side – Yrelstromoz measuring more than thirty meters in length – dodging wasn’t easy either.

Luckily for Jake, he found his stable arrows could barely get through Yrelstromoz’s scales if she didn’t put up any other defenses. He wasn’t even considering trying for the destructive variant, and when he attempted a Splitting Arrow, only to find them all deflected by her scales, it was clear he would have to focus on quality over quantity.

While even these single arrows failed to do a lot of damage individually, each did represent another dose of Dragonsbane Poison inflicted. Yrelstromoz didn’t seem to have noticed either, and as Jake’s arrows did so little damage, she barely bothered to block but preferred to just heal.

Now, Jake was afraid Yrelstromoz would find it odd that Jake wasn’t using any poison, considering he was the Chosen of the Malefic Viper, so he did mix in the occasional arrow that had regular poison on it rather than his Dragonsbane. This definitely seemed like a good choice, seeing as she cleansed this poison incredibly quickly whenever she was inflicted, allowing his Dragonsbane to go under her magical radar.

Jake’s goal was to continue stacking his poison and accumulate Hunting Momentum and all other advantages he could get from the fight dragging on, but Yrelstromoz wasn’t going to make that easy.

Having realized that just taking arrows while failing to land successful counterattacks was a bad strategy, Yrelstromoz switched from being defensive to suddenly being way more aggressive.

Right as Jake teleported back and prepared to loose another arrow, the dragon he was aiming at disappeared, having turned into a beam of light. With his Hunter’s Mark and sphere, he tracked her movements, which really wasn’t that necessary considering she was charging straight at him.

Flapping his wings, Jake retreated back while releasing his poison mist into the beam of light. Right before she reached him, Jake released the string of his bow and switched to katars just in time.

Yrelstromoz became corporeal and was instantly hit with a close-range arrow that penetrated deeper than the ones he’d shot earlier. However, the dragon didn’t even react as she brought down a massive claw towards Jake.

He tried to dodge back, but suddenly the claw sped up several times over and was upon him in an instant. Due to his precognitive danger sense, Jake still barely avoided the blow, but he found himself in a bad position to avoid the follow-up.

Forced to block, Jake was slammed in the side by a dragon claw. He used one of his wings right at the very last moment, but it was torn through quickly as the sharp claws made contact with his katars before sending Jake flying in an explosion of light that hurt a great deal.

Now it was Yrelstromoz’s turn not to give Jake any reprieve as she spun around, her tail made of pure light as it swept straight for him. He barely managed to shoot out a blast of arcane magic that sent him downwards and out of the tail’s path… only to have a magic circle appear right beneath the direction he was dodging.

A blast of physical light struck Jake hard, sending him spinning through the air uncontrollably. Yrelstromoz was upon him right away again, another claw coming down from above, but the seemingly dazed Jake used the momentum of his already spinning body to smash his katar into the descending claw.

Jake would definitely have broken something if not for his upgrade to Fangs of Man, making his forearms impossibly tough and allowing him to withstand the rebound as a shockwave of arcane energy and light pushed the two of them apart.

Yrelstromoz took a moment to heal her damaged claw, which had a hole in its middle, allowing Jake to pull out his bow again and turn this back into a ranged battle, something he would much prefer.

While the Lumenflight were dragons wholly focused on magic, they were still dragons. All True Dragons were naturally peak monsters even in physical combat, in part due to their overwhelming magic. While the Wildflight took this concept to extremes, all dragons had bodies constantly infused with high levels of energy, effectively giving them a powerful passive boosting skill that raised all physical stats significantly.

The one Jake was currently facing was naturally the same, something he had already confirmed with Sense of the Malefic Viper. That’s also why her flesh was so damn tough that even if Jake got through her scales, his arrows barely managed to penetrate.

This wasn’t to say Jake wasn’t confident in melee; he just believed ranged combat was advantageous to him, even if Yrelstromoz also preferred sticking to magic. Her sticking primarily to magic also meant she would burn through her mana faster, which was only good for Jake.

Nocking an arrow, he took aim right as Yrelstromoz was also done healing herself. She noticed Jake’s incoming attack and turned into a beam of light once more to dodge, but Jake patiently waited as he charged his Arcane Powershot and only released it the moment she appeared once more, much to her surprise.

The projectile struck the dragon right in the chest, dealing pretty good damage as Yrelstromoz was shaken from the impact, allowing Jake to land another three arrows before she mustered a proper response.

Unfolding her wings, both of them began to glow with golden light as they seemingly began to grow. Her wings expanded from only a few dozen meters in length to a hundred meters, then a thousand, until they seemed to cover Jake’s entire vision.

During this, Jake shot more arrows, but a constant flux of magic around Yrelstromoz managed to block his potshots, and due to his growing danger sense, Jake didn’t dare to risk committing to any larger attack.

This proved a wise choice as only a moment later, both wings began to close in as Yrelstromoz flapped them towards him. An utterly gigantic wave of light swept toward him, blasting Jake with a powerful wave of physical light once more; however, he knew this wasn’t the real attack. While Jake was still flying backward, blocking with both katars in front of him, the two wings gave up another pulse as they exploded, releasing another wave of light that turned into tens of thousands of smaller beams that all started bending and swirling before locking in on the one target in front of them:

Jake.

Immediately, he detected that these had the same concept as the orbs before, which meant that while individually these beams would do little damage, should he get struck by too many at the same time, he would be in trouble.

With so many attacks coming at once and little time to react, Jake activated Pride of the Malefic Viper as he took dominion of his immediate area. Hundreds of arcane orbs appeared in an instant, exploding immediately and bathing the entire area in destructive arcane mana.

Jake flew out of the explosion a moment later, instantly attracting all the beams as they shot for him. He tried to dodge them and managed to avoid several hundred, but there were simply too many, and eventually he was struck… only for his body to disperse into black curse energy.

Yrelstromoz’s confusion was clear as she was unable to comprehend what had happened. Having lost their target, all the beams continued shooting into the sky before rapidly dispersing before the dragon had time to locate the real Jake. She released a brief flash of invisible light, but it was already too late.

Within the lingering destructive mana from the explosions earlier, an Arcane Powershot erupted from the hidden Jake, shocking Yrelstromoz. Not only because she’d failed to detect that he had been hiding in it and charging an attack, but by the power of the blow, as Jake’s brief period of hiding had allowed Stealth Attack to activate yet again.

Jake watched as Yrelstromoz was blasted back with yet another large wound on her body. Having to use Eternal Shadow – a skill with a great surprise factor – already hurt a little, but as Yrelstromoz healed herself, Jake felt it.

He couldn’t suppress a smile as he saw Yrelstromoz’s eyes open wide, her own healing seemingly not working the way she wanted it to. Through Sense of the Malefic Viper, Jake reveled in the sensation he got from the True Dragon. Within her body, all the mana inhabiting this creature of magic had long been infected, and now enough toxins had finally accumulated. In other words…

Dragonsbane Poison had officially kicked into effect.

Gods dammit! This was good but I want more! 😅👍🏼 It feels like I’m a kid again jones’ing for the next episode of Dragon Ball Z to see Goku finally release his Spirit Bomb ball attack, but it took like 20 or so episodes to charge the damned thing lmfao just throw the damned thing 🤣 Tftc 🍻

PigmyOcelot

I’m really wondering if Jake will get a title from this. Like on the one hand, killing a true dragon is a big deal because of how tough they are, but on the other hand, most of the significance Jake is applying to the fight comes from earth culture and from his experience in the tutorial challenge dungeon.

PigmyOcelot

Like dragon slayer would be a sweet title, but would the system really consider it a big enough deal for a title?

Sogala

Thank you for the chapter

Rahsheem Reid

Im not sure Yerl has used a boosting skill yet. Jake seems to be guessing.

Devillelouch

So 4-6 still makes sense. 3 is poison vs Dragons ultimate skills, 4 is fleeing vs event horizon. You could say 1 and 6 are scouting and loot. To those who feel it is too short, she is a basic true dragon. Jake has used a majority of his best skills and the main win reason is Dragonsbane. The AOE light skills were nasty. Ultimate skills are probably not melee skills as she would win.

Suzanne Pearson

I love how Jake peppered in regular poison to throw her off his real dragonsbane! I also really loved the comment “Then please, teach me the folly of my ways… or be the prey that marks me a dragonslayer,” . Now that is a great line! 😁

Signature Jake, kite around and wear them down.

Mohammed Sheekh

Does this confirm that jake is faster than the speed of light now?

Rewdan

Thanks Zoghth, this is an amazing battle.

Mohammed Sheekh

4 would be using hidden ace skills, 5 and 6 would be egomaniac talk + escape+ event horizon

Jake: slays dragon Villy: DOVAHKIIN *the world he is on trembles*

Rewdan

When Yrel begins to believe that she's not going to win I can see her trying to flee.

I've been suspicious for a while that there's a reason we've recently been reminded that Lillian is a moonlight mage, I wonder if Jake is going to get some loot relevant to her path out of this fight that he eventually hands to her for lack of something better to do with it himself. So great seeing the Dragonsbane poison kick in at the end of the chapter, I can't wait for tomorrow's.

TFTC :) Suggested edits: "many orbs *of light* were still a thing as he was bombarded with searing beams *of light*." repetition. Ditch either. "Jake’s arrows were not exactly easy to avoid *getting hit by*, " awkward and overly wordy phrasing. Suggest ending the section at "avoid" "of light that hurt a great *bit*." should be "deal" "reprieve as she *spun* around, " should be "span" "downwards and *barely* out of the tail’s path" repetition. Ditch either this or the one just before.

How long does everyone think its going to take for Yrel to figure out she's going to lose? So far, she's shown that infamous draconic pride.

NEXT TIME ON, THE PRIMAL HUNTER! "The ultimate battle has reached its breaking point! What began as a desperate struggle is seemingly the beginning of the end for the True Dragon! Our hero, Jake Thayne, the Chosen of the Malefic Viper, has fought this colossal menace for what feels like an eternity, only to inflict pathetic, minor wounds that were instantly, aggressively healed! After finally identifying her attacker, the Dragon in her boundless arrogance took her TRUE FORM, ready to incinerate the foolishness of our hero... only to be shocked, BEYOND BELIEF, by his continued ability to inflict ANY damage at all! But Jake remains steadfast! His eyes burn with the fire of a SECRET! Those visible, minor physical wounds are nothing but a red herring! The real damage is not on the surface! It's SILENTLY LURKING! It's BUILDING UP! It's festering deep within her very essence! What will happen in our next earth-shattering episode?! Will the Dragon finally realize she has been TRICKED?! Will our hero be able to capitalize on the monster's current, shattering CONFUSION?! FIND OUT NEXT TIME... ON, THE PRIMAL HUNTER!"

I’m still waiting for her Trump card. There’s no way the fight can continue to be this seamless for Jake. My best guess is she hasn’t taken him seriously yet, and he’s going to find out his assumption about her revival and boosting is wrong. This will lead to him running out of energy when she powers up, leaving him with only one option, which is to level up his boosting skill to mythical.

Steven Tuttle

is jake going to use his new palate to suck up all the energy's from thi fight and get a little more on the concept of light and healing

Vega

This has been a great fight so far. Thanks!

Schneeente

I wonder if Jake is really going to kill her, or if the arrogant dragon is realizing that her actions have been wrong and begs for forgiveness. Promising to do better, joining him?

David Hall

It's a tight squeeze but I'm holding on to 4 parts, more beat down tomorrow then Event horizon when yrel tries to run off to auntie. It's probably gonna be more than four, but I like this game weve git going here

djb2

"Span" is not technically incorrect, but it's an old way of saying the past tense. "Spun" is correct and is much more common in the modern day. Nobody today would say "she span around," anymore, and feels out of place in the modern conventions and style the story is written in.

beeve

Yeah he needs more pressure.. I thought event horizon would be on Thursday but if you are correct than it won’t be until Friday after we get through him upgrading something Thursday

Hornbach

No just because she uses light Magic does not mean the attacks move at lighspeed. Only whe light they passivley immit wouldnmove at Lightspeed. Also in the system lighspeed is Infinite so for Jake to move as fast or faster would be Impossible. That was explained when He visited the Pantheon of Life.

InfernoDroid

I hope she has a lot more tricks up her scales as it's looking a bit too easy atm

Loststar7

TFTC. Great fight so far.

DirePants

Great chapter. I really didn’t expect this battle to go for a long time. It’s the kind of fight that displays his growth not necessarily one meant to be a lesson for his growth, if you understand what I mean. It’ll be over next battle- maybe she’ll try to run after exhausting her other options. There’s a chance she has something for the poison- I’d find it strange if every dragon didn’t carry around a bane antidote or something. That could drag on (lol) the battle a bit. But i somehow don’t think it’ll happened. If she runs we’ll get to see a hella powerful long distance finishing blow. So 1 or 2 more chapters to finish it I think. I was wondering if we’d see Jake pull a Valdemar and use Yrel’s horn or fang to stab her. But as far as leveling up abilities… Maybe but I doubt it.

Prospects

At this rate it looks like Jake could kill her without event horizon, I hope he gets pushed some more otherwise it would be pretty anticlimactic. I know she definitely still has Dragons Breath, but with Jake’s instinctive precognition I doubt it would be a big concern.

Jason K

"be the prey that marks me a dragonslayer" is so metal, holy shit

SinCinnamon

I fully expect Jake to need to retreat and come back to kill her later, once he is actually at peak strength. That’d be the best way to truly place True Dragons as a Multiverse Pinnacle.

Yarza Wynn

i have a feeling there's going to be at least one if not two more twists in the battle that push it back in Yrel's favour and pushes Jake to his limit before he takes the win

Tsurani

Damn, great story. And we’re only Tuesday! This week is going to be intense 😅

Corey S

I doubt it. Jake himself has been described as a pinnacle talent, while she has relatively no combat experience. I think she’ll escape and he’ll have to hunt her down

JW Saxby

🤣🤣 I’m hearing this in the Dragon Ball Z narrator voice lmfao 🤣

Mikesch

Sorry, quick side question. Does anyone know when the Audiobook comes out?

The Ravenger

The 24 hours between chapters is torturous not even mentioning weekends.

Seen Death

While there are definitely cures to everything, i believe its called dragonBane for a reason Its extremely specialized, and needs high quality dragon parts + understandings to make And id imagine poison users are relatively rare on the scale of the universe, for example i highly doubt even jake would even really focus on protections against humanbane in B grade (although he atleast has some insight on the subject already) Does the bane poison kill? Maybe in super high doses, but i think its more of a super effective disarmer/immobilizer to make the target weaker and weaker to be finished off with other methods, so her most effective method of survival would probably be to hope she can escape somehow, but i have a feeling that would be difficult for her ego to allow, and shed end up missing the best opportunities to attempt escaping

Darklord3875

I want to say that to get to this point in the audiobooks we have 2 maybe 3 books before we get here. We still have to kill Yip of Yore Ell’Hakan. Then we still have to do the whole Pantheon of Life arc.

Seen Death

While they are seriously fighting right now, there havnt really been any desperate moves made yet Id guess theyre both atleast 80% health still, shes been healing the whole time and jake has gotten some scratches So far its mostly been resources being burned

Takoda Heitz

Sometimes reading these comments makes me feel like we’re all reading a different book lol.

Villly is totally going to sell recordings of this fight to Valdemar haha.

Am I the only one who wishes to see poison take a front step finally? Since tutorial we know he "spikes" his ranged/melee attacks but as always as a side piece with little to no impact.

i have to assume she has a couple more cards to pull, but i wouldn’t be disappointed if Jake taught her why his name is DoomFoot and it ended sooner

monymoo

Fight scenes are good and all but when is Jake actually going to start thinking and acting like a Hunter boss snake had to tell him how to bait her for villys sake never mind that we haven't seen anything of the multi verse yet 90% of the books take place in his mansion lodge or nevermore

austin kutz

Without the dragons bane poison I doubt he could kill her at all, considering she would just keep healing herself then run away when she can't kill him

brjenness

moon, pantheon of life, hoktua planet, milky way planets during events, the great planet the order is on, the order itself, i'm sure there are more....oh, earth when thrown to the other side, the trip back, vampire event

Just realized who jake's next ritual should be... draskil, getting him a top notch dragon race.

That would actually be awesome. Jake should suggest it cuz draskil never will

Thanks for the chapter.

Can you just batch release the whole flight and the after action report with Villy please? The suspense is intolerable 😂

Takoda Heitz

Hey Zog random suggestion and honestly just fan service, but it would be pretty cool if we got a little bit more of Villy’s perspective whenever Jake is talking to him. Not like often or anything but it’s always interesting to hear how the viper thinks.

Wen L.

Finally poisoned, now's time for the kill shot.

Can someone explain what the event horizon skill does again? 🤔

Takoda Heitz

[Event Horizon (Mythical)] – For a moment, you glimpse the ultimate goal of the Arcane Hunter of Horizon’s Edge. At the end of your Path, at the edge of all one seeks, you find the Event Horizon… and make it your prey. Allows the hunter to glimpse the Event Horizon, designating a target to be one with it and thus considered your new Event Horizon. Upon activating the skill, gain a glimpse of your true Event Horizon, creating a reality where only you, the horizon, and any potential prey exist. The Event Horizon encompasses all realities, inescapable and unavoidable. Only you are capable of glimpsing the Event Horizon, and what you are capable of perceiving is determined by Perception. Your arrows naturally seek toward the subject designated the Event Horizon and will always reach it should you so desire. You will always see the location of the Event Horizon once a subject has been specified. All effects that scale off distance to your target will have their effectiveness maximized when hunting the Event Horizon. The power of your soul determines the duration of Event Horizon. Your Path has led you here, but for now, a mere glimpse of the Event Horizon is all you are capable of, knowing it carries the promise of an endless domain to one day make your own.

Tamathon

Didn’t her friend give her an escape coin?? I bet she’s going to nearly die, then run home to the family that disowned her. How do you “ground” a dragon lol.

Steven L

I can see this fight drag on 30+ chapters if dragon use trump card or item to teleport back to auntie house. Than Jake will have to kill her after wiping out her whole clan. I hope thats not the case or the fight will not be over until Christmas.

Takoda Heitz

I have a feeling Event Horizon would prevent him from having to kill anyone but Yrelstromoz. It’s going to counter any escape she tries to pull off by allowing Jake to still hit her regardless of where she is.

have to wear her down more before he gets the space and time for a kill shot. i'd guess a totally made up number that jake's most powerful attack completely buffed can only take half her vitality at most. she's not a crusty old glass cannon goat.

brjenness

not knowing let's people like me worry that there is a chance that villy is fattening Jake up for slaughter.

Nyx

Ohh love this thinking. They wouldn't be compatible with his path though so at most may be used to feed something else he eats.

Saitama Solos Supremacies

What makes the dragonsbane poison undetectable compared to the ‘normal’ poison?

Philipp

It feels like Jake might get his „own“ void ball thing with event horizon Where only he, his prey and the hunt remains until the hunt is fulfilled

William WIlson

I dont think a void ball. However I wouldn't doubt Jake claiming territory for his hunt and basically getting the same thing as a transcendence. Same idea but instead of a void ball where both have go consent to enter Jake can force his prey into it. It could also be damn hilarious the first time it happens. Like a prey trys to feel and Jake's o no you dont and feels something change something he doesn't fully understand but instinctively knows his prey cannot escape him. The prey then runs to people that look completely normal but they won't respond. Villy loses track of Jake going wtf did he just do and where the fuck is he? Then a few days later Jake pops back into reality and villy is all wtf happened. Jake then telling him he was just fighting and something weird happened. Villy then tells him to check his notifications where Jake finds out he can claim an area based upon his perception.
