Well then good to see that he’s finally starting to truly forge his own personal alchemy legacy and that purification skill looks great but yeah I really can’t wait to see how op his potions and poisons become after he upgrades his potion crafting with primal ingredients heck he might straight up upgrade his potion crafting skill maybe even poison crafting oh man imagine how strong his poisons are going to be

what do you reckon is the highest increase in skill level in all of history? cause jake got inferior all the way to mythical. the only way i can see this being beat by a god that has a random inferior skill and upgrades it to sacred on above.

Jake actually annoyed me with this one. Did he at any time ask himself, "why didn't sylphies egg blow up?". Seems like he could have gotten somewhere a lot faster with a little more thought.

He must have gained a lot of levels and a title for making so many legendary alchemical reagents. Also interesting that origin conceptually is so much stronger than successive iterations through evolution. Usually things grow and get better than being watered down and the origin isn't better just more pure with less weight.

A jump in skill upgrade similar to the arcane soul flame. Look forward to the shit Jake makes with this. Scared meditation, supreme soul flame, now primeval purification. Jake has a lot of strong fundamental skills that can bring him farther up. There is so much potential here.

I feel like it's important to remember that Jake is literally one of the best new talents in his entire new universe, he does a crap load of things at high conceptual levels and his bloodline gives him an extra push in the things it helps with which is practically everything boosting him even further. Most of his skills didn't even make sense to have as a "normal" C-Grade.

Hmm.. Can he eat his new creations to learn their alchemical uses? Palate hasn't really debuted its improved skills, so it'd be fun to test it here. Or since the motes/flecks have his Bloodline would eating them just give him a tummy ache? Jake's good at surviving explosions anyway, so I'm sure it'll be fine 😅 Also, I wonder which Legacy he used Invocation on? Pride I guess? I hope Villy got some fun Records from it

I’m right there with you. Imagine what he’s going to do with all those skills you mentioned when he stays using all the amazing materials he’s been stockpiling. He has the dragon heart, desolation core, El Haken heart, and the yip-of-yor snack that Villy made him! As a side, I know I’m missing way more stuff too. Could definitely use an entire week’s worth of chapters so Jake can sit down and make an inventory of all his hoarded goods and make a high level plan about what he will do with them all!

That's true. An explosion that only lightly obliterated all the skin off one hand is hardly enough to be a danger to his new super palate. He should 100% keep some iron flakes in there for a while to see if palate and sageacity can glean some hints towards their potential usage and maybe even refine them to a more stable/usable ingredient.

Yeah this skill sounds suspiciously like what happened in that fight. Using lesser elements or whatever as fuel? Check. Using the energy to crack into higher level concepts and records (his theory on how origin energy works) check.

The creativity needed to write these kinds of chapters is really impressive We're all sitting here reading about a fictitious guy in a fictitious world who's trying to improve a fictitious skill in the fictitious art of alchemy Yet there's so much detail about the experimentation, methodology, course correction in mindset, and finally success that we're able to nod along at the logic of the whole process and go "Oh, impressive. Look what this guy accomplished!" All that to say, thank you for the depth of this chapter 🙏

Eh Vilas actually discouraged him from reaching out to the Gate more than necessary as he is still vastly underprepared and underpowered to deal with the purity and multitude of concepts there. He told him to meditate, thats completely different. Just because Jake can use Meditation to visit the gate again, he should do so very sparingly and cautiously as he still incurs soul damage if exposed too long. Also, he is not walking in the footsteps of the First Sage at all, he is using his guidance and teachings but for his own path. Again, something completely different.

I don't know how to feel about it becoming Mythical. The Mythical rarity is starting to lose its luster to me. I don't know if that is good or bad as it just seems to be happening more and more now. Maybe it shows his growth but who knows?

I feel like it would have been more impactful if it upgraded to unique rarity. Makes it in line with the lesser primeval origin energy skill. I am not sure though. By the way I am not trying to say this chapter is bad by any means, in fact I love these kinds of chapters, just that it feels less impactful otherwise. I do feel like just including the lesser primeval origin definitely puts it in the realm of mythical, just that mythical might not be the best fit in the naming convention to keep it impactful.

By the time we see Jake’s nephew again he will be in his 20’s if not older depending on when he visits with them again. I’m loving this buildup and upgrading to his alchemy. I look forward to seeing what kind of nonsense Jake creates that breaks the multiverse economy with his lesser primeval energy. Should prove to be hilarious if Zog deems it worthy to give us. TFTC!

Indeed a work of pure art and genius. This story is well written with great world building and every side character is interesting in its own. The foreshadowing is insane and i have yet to find a single plot hole lol. i like the fact that we only get status updates on the MC yet vague updates on the other powerhouses, it leaves much room for imagination. Sylphie is the absolute bestest character BESIDES MINAGA and the bloodline cheater. This story deserves an anime and i can hardly wait ;;D
