If you're doing a part two, opinions on Chicago style pizza, thin crust and deep dish? Thanks.

I cant believe Michael and Us has split up (creative and religious differences) and now the hosts only do vain solo projects. Excuse me but we are paying for Michael and Us, not Michael and Me, Michael and Will, Will and Fred, Luke and Us, Luke and Me, The Luke and I, Where There’s A Will There Isn’t A Luke, etc, etc

Oh gosh Luke, if you come to Minnesota I would love to treat you to a dinner. We have a nice film festival here in the spring! Look me up on twitter; I think I follow you.

Great taste in English folk music; if you’re interested in something more contemporary that also reaches back to those traditions, peep the record “Peasant” by Richard Dawson. A bit of Robert Wyatt in it too — genuinely feels like inhabiting a Medieval English town.

Listening to the response about gaming and it struck me for the first time in my life (!) how interesting it is that we refer to the ‘bad guy’ at the end of a level as the ‘boss.’ Like, as kids, we’d say, “did you beat the boss on level three?” I’d be curious about the history of that linguistic nugget.

I went to high school in French in Quebec and we certainly dedicated a large portion of our Canadian history class to the quiet revolution!

I had this same question recently. I was told it comes from martial arts cinema, where the final villain is often the "boss" of a criminal gang.

As far as history of Canada's relations with First Nations goes, I'm not really up on the literature either but would recommend Daschuk's Clearing the Plains.

Nicholas Giraldo

Thanks Luke for the Nick Drake recommendation.
